Hello! Albender here from Spain. Just registered although been reading this for a few days.
Let me start by saying thanks to everyone that makes OPEN TTD experience such a great game.
I have been reading and came (correct me if I am wrong) to the conclusion that I cannot play an Scenario and load as many NewGRF as I want.
If I want to load at once many newGRF this has to be via RANDOM GAME which is a shame as you lose the realistic scenarios to play with.
I am looking for a nice real scenario (Europe preferred) that allows me to load many NewGRF (new trains, planes, etc).
If anyone can help or point me out to a solution, I'd be grateful as I really would prefer to enjoy the game by playing a real scenario and getting lots of the new goodies at the same time. (I get bored of random games as names, places, etc aren't real)
Thanks in advance and keep the good job.
Alby

Re: Scenario Assistance
The problem with what you want is that adding newGRFs after creation can break the scenario or savegame (they are one and the same internally).
Adding GRFs as you describe was possible before 1.1.0, but too many people complained that it broke their game (without reading the warning, of course) and it was disabled.
There IS a way around the issue. Note that you should ONLY add vehicle, station, graphic-only, and object GRFs (e.g. GRFs that only add things or change the way something looks). Adding industry GRFs is VERY VERY risky. In addition, DO NOT REMOVE GRFs IN A RUNNING GAME AFTER YOU HAVE ADDED THEM.
Assuming you have read the above and agree not to file bug reports if anything goes wrong in your game, type set scenario_developer 1 into the console (opened by clicking the ~ key (to the left of the 1)) and press enter.

Re: Scenario Assistance
That works !! Thanks a lot for a quick answer.

Re: Scenario Assistance
Ok, after a few hours of testing, it didn't work.
Now, I assume I have to play a random scenario in order to fully enjoy tons of new grf properly.
I am a bit confused on which ones to pick since there are a lot.
Hopefully you guys can assist.
Looking for:
All possible vehicles and stations. As many different as possible. I enjoy them a lot.
Regular / Normal game enhancements. Bridges, tunnels, etc...
Not interested on industries, carrying passangers and little else is OK with me.
Can you guys let me know which GRF to load when I start a new game?
Cheers

Re: Scenario Assistance
You may want to browse http://grfcrawler.tt-forums.net/ a bit to get familiar with the names of interesting newgrfs
Re: Scenario Assistance
Thanks for the link. Very useful one.
Any suggestions for just ingame enhancements?
Beyond adding new vehicles/landscape which is already covered with above link.
Keep in mind, for people like me (rediscovering the game) it's a bit difficult to understand and get proper data as there are many many different things and by the looks of it some of them may be even kinda "duplicated stuff" if you know what I mean.
Or maybe you guys already discussed this and can point me to an old forum thread?
Thanks in advance
