Re: Photo Of The Month - April 2012 Voting
Now since the voting is over, I'll add my few cents.
The best photos are in my opinion (and in no particular order) by Ameecher, Geo Ghost and orudge.
Dave's pic is imho slightly behind those three. The scene is great, but the picture isn't just that perfect as it could have been. I would have either zoomed in on the bridge (the wooden post looks like a main object especially according to the rule of thirds). As an alternative I would have preferred a more wide-angular shot, to capture the clouds better. Should be possible with a D60.
The other pics also depict awesome bridges, but they could have been a bit better from a photographer's view.
The only crappy one is mine.

There was a way better shot in that very album but I chose that one because I thought you lot are thick..doktorhonig wrote:Now since the voting is over, I'll add my few cents.

And I proved myself right!
Anyway, your humble opinion isn't wanted by the winner

I said the same thing to him on his flickr, the wires in the foreground detract to much from the subject in my eyes.doktorhonig wrote:Now since the voting is over, I'll add my few cents.

Yours was very good but I felt it didn't match the theme quite as I interpreted it, as such I went for orudge's.The only crappy one is mine.

Yep, that was also my problem with it. But the weather was so bad in Vienna last month, so all the newly taken pics didn't look good. I'm not a good fog-tographer.
My pic wasn't really focused on transport, which actually violates rule 1.
But thanks for accepting it anyway!
Let's hope these month's photos will be just as insanely awesome as the last ones.

That's actually the reason why I voted for Geo rather than Dave - I thought the post was too... 'in your face'.Ameecher wrote:I said the same thing to him on his flickr, the wires in the foreground detract to much from the subject in my eyes.
Any opinions expressed are purely mine and not that of any employer, past or present.

Will you lot cock off abusing my photo! Haha.
I included the post because I thought it made it look a bit more British. Alright it's too prominent but hey - enough idiots voted for it haha.
