Kool-aid is a beverage sold in america aimed at children. In this case it is a slur (I assumed of the internet generally, but based on your reaction probably not) used on the airliners.net forums towards people who (immaturely) ask ridiculous questions or say how things should be done in the real world, when they have no actual knowledge about the subject at all. The equivalent on here would be saying that in order for the british train network to become profitable they should buy hundreds of pendolinos and operate them everywhere at 5 minute frequencies on all lines or that for optimal usage of trains, all services from London to Scotland should use the Settle to Carlisle route. Utter twaddle, basically. Ideas like this are usually followed by posts such as "Go home and drink your Kool-aid" or "Someone's been having too much Kool-aid before bed".
I hope this sheds some light on this matter, but if it doesn't, sorry.
Before Jonestown, it often reffered to 'Electric Kool-aid', large batches of kool-aid or cheap substitute spiked with LSD, often at certain rock concerts or parties in the early-mid 60s SF scene, e.g. electric koolaid acid test. Drinking the kool-aid essentially meant buying into the psychedelic subculture.
Whether that is as pejorative as the later Jonestown meaning, if at all, is subject to your own personal interpretation.

I put a link and a reference from the outset. Although actually misread the licence - mybad. Want me to remove?
