(BBC) Grayrigg crash: Network Rail fined £4m over death

Genius, so now NR has 4million less to spend on maintenance/upgrades etc, making accidents more likely rather than less.

Seriously, does anyone in charge have any brains whatsoever?

It's taken this long to get to this stage?

Also, 4 million? Doesn't seem that much if I'm honest.

The taxpayers seem to think that they are forking out the bill....
