At least the Japanese make it look somewhat cool like it belongs there. I'm sure the coupling can be retracted. It wouldn't be very efficient when running at 250km/h, now would it. Also, a less refined Japanese Shinkansen: the N700:

There is a rumour that this IS NOT the train meant for the NS HiSpeed, this is the prototype. Dont know why its already in the correct colors then though.

No way! Only a prototype? Why would they make such a large scale prototype? It looks like a waste of money to me if it were only a prototype, just like the SM90 (which were also prototypes actually). Ah well, the NS does has to have some small mishaps from time to time (Class 1000, Beelen, Mat '41, SM90), one can't be perfect.
Though, it would be interesting if it only stayed with this set. A real trainspotter-magnet!

Large-scale prototype? Remember that BR did that with the HST 30 years ago.

The new Metro`s for the RET to be used on the RandstadRail are delayed, because the RET arent happy and the testing isnt done for 100%, otherwise it would be already here.
Plus that i just saved Rotterdam Centraal by pointing out that there was a recycle bin burning in the passengertunnel
(Not that there is much not to butn though, they already demolished the station
)

2 RSR metro`s are making testruns atm, AND The goverment is getting brains again, they are stopping the "openbare aanbestedingen" (Whats the english worth for that? Privatisation?). Rotterdam, Den Haag and Amsterdam arent forced to do that with there Public Transport, as long as they are part again of the city thingy bla bla. Difficult stuff
