FooBar wrote:Personally, I would like to rediscuss the 'Road Vehicle ID Allocation', but let's not do that in this topic. And before I want to start such a discussion, I'd like to read through the previous discussions thouroughly to try and understand why the IDs are currently allocated the way they are now. There's probably a logical explanation for this somewhere.
This a nice big juicy can of worms. Technically there is no fixed definition of what should be used for what but then there are people, like George, who leave space in their sets for trams to be compatible and people treat these as if they are the set allocation.

Can someone tell me where to find the Modern Tram Set R2? I've downloaded the latest version and can only install the original.

Well, right here.

But to tell the truth, I don't really understand what you're trying to say...

Sorry. I meant that I downloaded the version on the front page, but it seems to be the original that downloads and not R2.

Please explain 'original'. Is that 'original' as in R1?

Alright.

The one at the first page is definitely not R1. At least not the first version I coded long time ago.

I just downloaded the one form page one and it looks to me that it's the latest version.

What makes you think that it's an older version?

I tried to join a server and the only missing graphic was "Modern Tram Set R2". I installed the one provided on the first page of this thread and it was the same thing, minus the "R2". No idea what's up here.

That's funny. Maybe you should try the #OpenTTDCoop GRF Pack. It also includes the modern tram set and maybe it's just the version you need.

I'm starting to think that the file on the first page is actually R3 or R4, and that R2 is long gone since.

I'm sorry but i need another version of the grf because 'Yet Another OpenTTD Server' don't accept that version

edit: so i'm a bit upset because only that grf is missing and there are NO non-passworded 0.6.0beta/nightly/ChrisIN server where they use trams!!! X(

edit2: a nice user sent me this, but this is also incompatible with that server's version

Hi Karlneil,

Love your set, very nice. Now we just need to geht the articulated RVs stable in TTDPatch.

One little request, though.
Would it be possible to make the CarGo tram refittable to Goods? Currently, it only allows Mail. That would be really cool.
Thanks.
