Modify search query for three-letter words

Just tried to search through the off-topic discussion for anything related to NFL (National Football League). But it won't even search because it's not four or more letters. There's effectively no way to search for this very specific term. Perhaps there's a way to modify this?

You can use the Google search that is also on the page, that one accepts 3 letter words.
