I use in games:
- Canadian Cities 1.1a (or Canadian City Buildings v1.6)
- Swedish Houses Set 1.1.1.
- TTRS (Total Town Replacement Set)
- Town and Industry - UK Houses, Basic Industries
- Polish Building Set v.4
- Japan Set: Buidings - 3.0
In the current game I use Swedish Houses Set 1.1.1.

I did used TTRS before..nice thing but I like Jap and Polish too

You can use a combination of these sets .
For example, Swedish Houses Set 1.1.1 and Japan Set: Buidings - 3.0.
But I normally use only one set .

Didn't know that was possible. I thought that only 1 house set newGRF was allowed per scenario. If you combine, what you'll get in the end ?

It depends on how these sets are balanced. Some sets can use different probabilities or special conditions. For example, some buildings are placed only near the roads. If you mix too many sets, you may never see these buildings in the game....

Or, on the other hand, with eg. TaI, other sets might "ignore" the restrictions that are build in so it'll turn out like any other game ...
... imo it's not really advisable to mix town sets. Swedish houses currently is my fav, with Jap set for Asian games, obviously ... TaI would be awesome, if it had a few more buildings

I, too, except Swedish Houses favorite Japan Set . Several times used both sets in one game. After 2000, the Japanese skyscrapers fit well in the cities. Here I found a screenshot of the old game .

If you look through my screenshot thread you see this all the time. Typically I will mix CanCities, TTRS, TaI, Sweedish Houses, Japan Set and a few others. Makes for an ecclectic mix.

This combination looks perfectly . Each player mixes differently. Everything depends on the imagination .

I decided to play in the sub-Arctic climate (OpenTTD Spring 2013 Patchpack v1.7.98 Full win64). Map size 512х512. As Seth trains use xussrset - Trains from Russia. Here is a few screenshots from the game :
Map. Currently I am engaged in building passenger network of trains, freight network of trains almost built - brings a significant part of the profit.
