I was wondering maybe OTTD needs a new icon instead of that TTDX icon. Anyway, tried to make something, but it's not good enough. Maybe someone has a suggestion what to do with it (colours, shape etc.)..

I prefer the style of the orange one as it's visible when smaller.

Also, the second one used standard TTD graphics, which are being phased out of the game.

but i think you should replace that dollar symbol with steam locomotive or some other vehicle.

We should have an OpenTTD specific icon, that fits for the entire world, not just a part of it. Notice how many currencies you can set in the options. Don't make an icon for each of them

I personaly love the second Icon, and not as much, but like the first.

The dollar symbol, however, is what TT and TTD has always used, its time to move on.

Quite great. I like the first one more because the second looks bad in 16X16
Just wondering what program are you using to make the ico files (PLEASE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION!)
Also can you upload the source file (any formats of source files is welcomed)?

Well, to me, a dollar sign doesn't necessarily mean "dollars", it just means "money" (that's the way it's often portrayed). But a euro sign doesn't mean "money", it means "Euros", and Britain doesn't use the euro.

The game isn't really about money, though.. Let's have an icon focusing on transport, because that's where the fun part of the game is.

Maybe it's time to make a path (or svg graphics) of a train head, railway, or airplanes.....

I really like the first one, it looks just great!
The second, altough even better, has forgotten that it is an icon, and will be mostly looked at at a small resolution, where all its details are lost; so it's not good.

Altough I don't despise the $, it has been too widely used to make it remember me to the US $, we should indeed move on. Maybe some simpler part of the TTDLX Box, or something similar to Transport Giant's logo.

How about just a gray-world map? Or an airplane&train?

Morphium's first project looks very nice

IMHO dollars would be the best on OTTD icon, it should'nt be changed to any other currency

btw. If you don't want dollars and euros, try Yens isntead
