Celebrate a Birthday - Play a Scenario!

Post by kamnet »

Today is the 70th birthday of one of TTD's most prolific scenario designers, Mr. Jim Powers. Jim's been retired for several years now, but his work is not forgotten.

Check out his scenario discussion forum and find something cool to play!

What a nice guy he was. But not the oldest I saw on the forums...

That surely belonged to Ramshill... Claimed he was well into his 80s in 2006...surely no longer with us!

Edit 3: Three shots from my attempt at The City III - a massive city of 2 million people. Used Bob and Ameecher's tram set to build two insane tram routes, one operated by 90 Balloon trams, the other, a bit shorter by 50 (but still inadequate). Paralleled one with a subway, going a bit further out into the suburbs. Will probably do some more subways if I play on, but the arguments with the city council for subway building take up a lot of time and make construction slow. Anyway, I ended up with a transport corridor capable of carrying 19,000 people at any one time - but it is still not quite enough!

Jim certainly liked to make sure we have a job on!
