The following could be the answer to your question, but I'm not sure about that:
Try 7zip to uncompress .rar and .zip files.

- You can obtain grf files from a number of locations, such as some of the posts in this forum, through the various wiki's (such as Openttd's wiki page) or using grf catalogues (such as Oskar's Grf Crawler).
- Once you have downloaded the file, you may need to extract the file from its container format (.zip for example can be opened by Windows explorer on XP and Vista).
- For usage of them refer to the manual of the project you are currently usin. OpenTTD, TTDPatch.
If you are struggling with how to use the internet or your computer to do this tasks, I suggest you ask family and friends to teach you, or take some computer literacy lessons.
