cfulton: Firstly, this isn’t a NewGRF general help thread you know. :) Please use your “Graphics?” thread for these sort of questions. For information on using GRF files look at the NewGRF Wiki page.

Sorry to sound completely stupid, but when I've downloaded the patch in the 1st post where do I stick it.

I know what to do with new grf files but not this one :?: ?( :? :bow: :oops:

Most of it's in trunk anyway, meaning that the standard game will have it. Also, massive gravedig! World record, anyone?

Ah, the joys of digging! This is quite interesting. Here we have a patch which is roughly 3 years old but half of that particular feature is still missing in trunk?

I.e., you may refit but wagons aren´t labeled correctly after refitting is done. So you never know ... Especially annoying with DBXL box cars which have lots of cargo subtypes for "goods", but no special graphical representions.

I still don't understand how to change from the company livery to unique ones. What do I need to alter in the game, and where do I put the patch once I've downloaded it?

Please Could somebody help me, by telling me where to stick it :shock: :mrgreen:

You're in the Development forum, most things posted here are "patches" to OpenTTD's Source Code, which you don't just put somewhere, you have to build it in to the game.

And a patch this old is NOT going to work any more.

If it does not work anymore how have other people managed to change the liveries of their vehicles? That is all I want to do, and I know it can be done because I've done it before. Unfortunately I stopped playing this game and made the mistake of going onto another and now I've come back I cannot remember which is completely frustrating for me, and probably annoying for everyone else :shock:

Not anymore since r15480.

Generally, posting things like this to http://bugs.openttd.org/ will help them not be forgotten.

So topic digging is sometimes of use. :wink: I was just thinking that maybe I should update the last piece of this patch to the latest trunk, when I saw Michi_cc’s commit.
