I finally had time to get the cross-compilation for Windows working. So from now on I'll be able to create Windows executables for testing.

The current version of the diff is against the current nightly (r4914).
The windows executable is also from that version.

So for all interested people, please test

better learn 3d and use blender to make ur stuff cause 32b graphics are just round the corner, it would be a waste for u to draw something and then have to do it again with better graphics!

just go over the graphics section and read the blender thread, its awsome

I'll believe it when I see it.

32bbp has been "just around the corner" since rev 2500 or so.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

A new revision of the past 2090 patch to include YAPF.

Previous past 2090 cannot be loaded due to inclusion of YAPF.

Hey,

I think this patch doesn't work anymore with the new version of openTTD (0.4.8-RC1).
I can't patch it because there are some conflicts.
Could someone pls take a look at it, i'm very interested in the patch.

for a start, 0.4.8-RC1 is a pile of crap
2, this patch is for a trunk version, meaning its not suposed to be applied to 0.4.8-RC1, which is already patched.
JPG SUX!!! USE PNG!!!
There are times when JPG is useful, TTD screenshots is not one of them. Please use PNG instead.

I posted the same post in 3 different topics because they have nothing to do with each other.
One could be worked on, while another not.
But since i can't post 3 times the same post, i'll refer to my other post for specification of the problem: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... c&start=40

in arctic and desert, buses arent invented till early 1930's, and rail not til mid 1940's. starting at 1927 will give you access to nothing but the passenger ferry - 1928 and you will get the first cargo ship 3-6 months into the game. this is the way i play it.

0.4.8 is basically 0.4.5 with (backported) bugfixes, which means that ist is basically revision ~3500 of trunk, so the patch in the initial post of this thread is the one that is most likely to apply. The next patch was 1000 revisions after 0.4.5, so the chance that that applies is pretty small.

I would suggest to try to solve them yourself; I do not have the time, nor incentive to backport the patch to 0.4.8.

I suggest using the current trunk and get the latest patch from http://rubidium.student.utwente.nl/openttd/past2090/

i think that due to the lack of steam engines in 1800 you could buy it for 10x the normal cost

and you will make biiig profits, if you'll find people which want to pay a 15km travel like the space shuttle launch
