Geo ... must be <Town Name> <Industry> <Number> since there can be multiple industries in 1 town ;) usually I do that but this time I am too lazy

d00mh4mm3r well I mainly do industry network ... it's more colorfull :) as for passengers I have some lines and many buses

as for trees ... in some years they will disappear partly ... farms will rebuild fields, some trees die, etc ... but I found that I enjoy so many trees than orginall few ... besides it's harder this way [local authority]

Demonstration of how you should take your copper ore and oil.
though in real life the oil trains would be atleast 10 cars longer than mine are, but the unloading station simply doesn't have any expansion space..

It would be a shame if oil refinery runs out of oil, so it makes sense to take the oil in huge quantities to ensure it does not run out of oil..

Since it doesn't matter how fast you transport copper ore, it makes sense to take it in huge quantities, aye?

Another of my little night timepics
look at the top left, see the light on one side of the trees?
What you think of that? looks pretty nice, and i dont normally say good things about my own work

The local, Long coal train heads over the bridge, while two oil trains head under. after passing, the oil trains can start to bring there head lights a bit brighter for the long stretch across the snow line

i wanted a description for this one, hence the double post.

Screenshot 125 --> A night Steamer comes out of a tunnel, and heads besides the coast over some connecting islands

Screenshot 126 --> The Steam Engine approaches a signal box. the signal man gives the 'all clear' green light from the bottom of the signal box, and lights 2 lights beside the track. Some passengers have now turned off thier lights and gone to bed for the long nightly trip :P

I like the last bunch, very much. Steam passenger trains lend themselves to night photography, I think.

How do you guys make it seem dark, do you use paint (I know you do), but i can't seem to find the option.
P.S. the reason why I say I know you do, is because of the head lights, they arnt in a straight triangle, one of the pics has a curve in them. (Defines all laws of phyics)
lol

I need help in doing it, for a locomotion story im starting

it produces 160 tonnes a month, 1 ore train is filled in, i think it was 3 or 2 months. It takes quite a while the ore train to reach the factory wich it takes the ore to, something about 1 or 2 months(thats in TTD time, not real). Then when the other train is about to leave to unload, the one that is coming back is going back to the loading platform about 2 days before that.

I take it that you don't have freighttrains on, otherwise you would have a hard time getting those trains started with just two locos. You should try turning that on, it will make a real challenge.

No, i dont use paint. i use a MUCH more advanced programme, Macromedia fireworks, then i put a black sqaure over everthing, and make it slightly transpartent (usually around 80-90%) then i add another layer ontop with all the lights etc.

Light may not bent, but it bounces of things  in one case, the bridge

freight trains is on, 2 SD-45's can easily take off with the carriages, they even reach 55mp/h along the way(max 65mp/h).
You probably haven't even tried this.
and a note, my freighttrains is 5.

They looked like GP9s. For sure, SD45s are kind of an uber-loco. How long does it take them to accelerate though? Ore is heavy.

7 squares to reach 45mp/h if i remember right.
though i replaced the SD45's on the other train with a centennial as PBS caused a nice crash...

Light patterns aren't triangular becuase of the bulbs. They actually go out in a funny cone due to the bulb shape, which gives that slight curve you see on the ground. Plus, the positioning makes the cone of light hit the ground at an angle creating a parabola*.

* I am unsure of whether that is the correct mathematic term or not. Just remember that parabolas are curved.

Continueing That Steam Engine's run... :D

Picture 3: about 5am
After traveling throughout the night, it becomes slightly lighter while the steam engine passes another signal box with the guard showing a 'Clear Ahead' Green Light on the step (at that time of the morning, it would be :P )

Picture 4: About 7am
The Steam Engine joins a double track, and stops for about an hour at a town sidings, next to the sea, for refueling, and a general rest/clean. The Carriges are changed from Sleeper Coachs, to Express Carriages. A shunter steam engine helps out here, whilst another high speed train is prept in the second siding from the coast, and another Steam Engine arrives in the station from where the other has come from.

Picture 5: Around Mid-Day
Our Steam Engine now joins the mainline, but has to wait for a faster, more important A4 class locomotive to pass. (i did my own steam for it :D ) Another express train also heads down the route.

The Final Picture

Picture 6: On time --> 4:23pm
At Last, the Steam engine finally reaches the end of the line. after many hours, it can now rest for a day, then head back, rest there for a day, then come all the way back again
A slow approch to the station, while another is leaveing, and also, the Express train we saw being preped earlier is also resting in the 4th platform

Dont ask how it got infront, i havnt come up with an idea for that :P

Not to bad... The self made steam, morning and night is it?
