Nice shed. But the packs of straw/hay are not even close to realistic.
Take a look at the 2nd and 4th images here:

http://www.minlnv.nl/portal/page?_pagei ... _id=169708

The packs are horizontal and stacked up several layers.
The whole stack is irregular.
A pack has this distinct vertical 'indents'.
One pack would probably lie horizontal in the cart. (though in the linked images the packs in the shed are large ones, too large to handle by one man, so also too large for a cart)
And you can see the color is quite different.

Very nice model.

I'm working on the bridges at z1 level. It's a bit boring, but It's necessary:

Sorry Armeagle...ok the hay can be improvement...but I remind you that Openttd is a game...
I think is useless to spend time about some aspect that you underline..
"...too large to handle by one man..."
When I design a building for a game, if I have to look at what is realistic and not, we have to consider thousands aspects..but we aren't engineers, doesn't matter if a house have heating, or if an industry is contaminant because its chimney is too large...
Patience if one man can't take the hay...he buys a gru!

Yes, It's the grass problem. I preffer fix it at the end, with all bridge sprites finished.

I will update the file with the extra bridges now. I have fixed the lost monorail sprite in the centre span of the suspension bridge, It was replaced by the single beam sprite.

It was inspired by this:

and it aims to replace the farm stalls...

Do you why without the ground, it appears like that:

I actually think the first version looked better, with the walkways offset. They are never centred at real airports, especially when you consider that they have to sit at one side of an aircraft and not in the centre!

Still, lovely graphics! 8)

A problem with the bridges overall is that they're all way too dark. Especially when zoomed out they look almost pitch black and that creates a sense that there are random black blobs all over the screen. Can they be made lighter at this point? (Are you doing rendering, or just coding?)

The sprites was rendered by Northstar2 some time ago. I can try to make them less dark with GIMP. It would take some time.

Antonio1984, i like the new shed although i prefer the original barn white planks/briks/whatever or if you brown if you will but in more lighter tone, worn out look maybe?
because if look at the farm as whole the current rich brown will mix with brown farm ground and make the farm less distinguishable and for ppl use to the original white look twice)

---

btw anyone have an idea how to make something similar look good in full zoom as i have no idea how go about making them tomorrow
i am gonna try to complete the original set in the original fashion as my little attempts dont look so good in z2.

also is there a ready fire i can use or i'll have to go through a fire making tutorial (which will take a lot of time since, i like playing with new toys :) )
and is this tower size should be one cell ?

If it would take long, it might be better to ask Northstar2 for new renders with more brightness. I think the bridges should be similar in brightness to the 8bpp ones.

Just use this texture shadeless and mapped to a plane... Should look quite good.

Texture modified from CGTextures.

IMHO I preffer the previous buildings.

About the smaller airport. On this forum I saw a version of the small airport. On a Russian website I saw the working version:

What has happend to this version?
