Thanks, this has been my most enjoyable game for a long time

What Broodje said, is all I can say in response to that.Draakon wrote:You are using Roest's Patchpack right? I think you should use the new Waypoint feature so you can tell what train can enter and what can not on those terminus stations.
May i suggest you read his post? He clearly said that he is using Roest's patchpack.Draakon wrote:You are using Roest's Patchpack right? I think you should use the new Waypoint feature so you can tell what train can enter and what can not on those terminus stations.
Yes, I know that. However, I don't need that so don't need to sigh at me. Instead of sighing, perhaps reading would help?Draakon wrote:*sigh* You clearly don't seem to understand that feature. With the waypoints rules you can choose where a train should enter and where not and clearly keep things organized.
I think we're all mistaken - I am going to give Draakon the benefit of the doubt and assume he was talking to beeb375 to help him avoid his trains getting lost.Draakon wrote:*sigh* You clearly don't seem to understand that feature. The reason being that TTDPatch´s PBS differs from OTTD´s recent PBS implementation (YAPP). So new disciples to OTTD would have to change their behaviour with regards to building signals and junctions.Draakon wrote: *sigh* You clearly don't seem to understand that feature.
Yes, PBS and enhanced signalling in TTDPatch still have the advantage over OTTD´s YAPP and restricting track by use of waypoints.Raichase wrote: I personally use TTDP still, and I use JGR's funky signal criteria patch thingo.
Well, yes. OTOH, he still uses an old version of the DBXL, so ... yes, excellent, but not dangerously breathtaking.Excellent screenies Ameecher
I'm getting there, though, I know I've fallen from grace somewhat by jumping ship to the oTTD shipmichael blunck wrote:[PBS]The reason being that TTDPatch´s PBS differs from OTTD´s recent PBS implementation (YAPP). Indeed, I do miss restrictive signalling because for a start it takes up less space and you don't have to have a straight piece of track to place a waypoint on. However, this game hasn't needed me to restrict where trains go, especially as the pathfinder is frankly brilliant in Open.michael blunck wrote:Yes, PBS and enhanced signalling in TTDPatch still have the advantage over OTTD´s YAPP and restricting track by use of waypoints.Raichase wrote: I personally use TTDP still, and I use JGR's funky signal criteria patch thingo.
Well we know the solution to that one don't we Michael?michael blunck wrote:Well, yes. OTOH, he still uses an old version of the DBXL, so ... yes, excellent, but not dangerously breathtaking.![]()
Well if your going to give it to him, gotta be fair and give it to me too!Ameecher wrote:Well we know the solution to that one don't we Michael?michael blunck wrote:Well, yes. OTOH, he still uses an old version of the DBXL, so ... yes, excellent, but not dangerously breathtaking.![]()
Send me a copy of v0.9 I'll happily wow the crowds!
Also, apologies to Draakon if there has been a misunderstanding and thanks to everyone for their comments.
