You want to do it? Go for it

What I think you mean is "I would like it if the patchmakers increased the number, because that would be helpful"
Remember that the patchmakers don't get paid - they work for nothing. We can't really demand
It's easy to gorget sometimes isn't it

Hmm,
I have looked in the code for Industries,
now I am very confused.
The array for industries is big enougth to store 60 industries.
But there are two limits in the code 60 and 90, now you ask why?
My guess is that lost 30 are for special industries, like Oil Rigs.
But I am very unsure...

They actually do.many pre-war (commercial) airplanes flew less then 200 mph

How many boards would the Mongols hoard if the Mongol hordes got bored?
What about the destruction of the factory and refinnery.
Maybe they can be changed so that you have to pay for rebuilding them.
And as long as they are not being rebuild, not to accept any goods?

OUCH. Factories are EXPENSIVE. I don't like disasters that just cost you money. It's more fun when they actually make a difference to something. Here are some disasters that are probably impossible but would be cool.
Landslide - some mountain falls down, and buries your rail line, you have to figure out a new way through it. Particularly bad if it's a heavy multi-track route.
Chemical accident / terrorists - half a city goes away, affecting its supply and demand
Environmentalists protest at oil refinery - it can't accept oil for a while
Train robbery - of passenger or goods trains
Coupler malfunction - the last few cars of the train fall off and stay there, or roll downhill, until you send the train back to retrieve them. Could be very awkward
Hurricane - blows a train or truck off a bridge it's crossing. Even better if it blows down all the trees also, and some buildings
Tornado - well, we can all imagine that one.
Yes, the subs torpedoing ships would be great. Particularly bad if it's a passenger ship. If it's an oil tanker, there can be an oil slick
Random bridge collapses, or tunnels, maybe catching a vehicle

It only doesn't produce goods till it's rebuild again.

Diamond / Gold reuck should be attecked with rockets
Trains should randomly derail, especially on heavy cross and when they there are too much carriages.
By war periods (1939-45 for euope, 42-60 for tropic) only steels factories should work efficiently, and railways should be detroyed by resistence.
Town should be demolished by bombing raids, and so on...
But I think all of this should be very hard to design

OK, there cannot be MORE of them, maybe we could exchage some? Get rid of some of the stupid ones and give more interesting ones? Probably also impossible.

The coupling malfunction one, while really cool, would have to be impossible - it sounds too un-TTlike for it to work with TT. Good idea as a disater for the new game though. Perhaps you should cut and paste your ideas into the "Ideas topic" for the new game, cause some might be more feasible there...
I really like the coupling one... too cool!

I have a suggestion.
Is it easy to make time's running slower?
Or to select speed of game - how many days a minute for example.

What I'd like better would be to speed it up. For when you have no money and you have to wait a while for your trains to earn it.

Basically a followup to a post I made in the TTD forum, would it be possible to add a (sign) cheat to increase the production from the raw resources? (forest, iron ore mine, farm, etc).
Implementation ideas:
- Sign Cheat: Cht: IncreaseProduction - Increase the production of all the raw resources
- Sign Cheat: Cht: MaxProduction - Maximize all raw resources
- Ctrl-Click on a certain button in the Industry window to increase one specific production.

Hmm, that sounds like Cheating ... (The GUI display of Industries has a second dummy object, this could be altered to a button I think)Lowlander wrote:Basically a followup to a post I made in the TTD forum, would it be possible to add a (sign) cheat to increase the production from the raw resources?
