No, the problem is with an engine, not a wagon. If ID 59 is a wagon in the NG set, then Prebral must have loaded another set too in which ID 59 is an engine that doesn't have prop 0E set.

I'm pretty sure that prop 0E is ignored entirely for wagons.

And other problem with multihead? I wanted to turn it off, because if it's on, "Beovoz", GANZ-MAVAG and NG DMUs don't working good, both heads are in front of train. At the other hand, if multihead is off, then "Pendolino" and MACOSA don't have powered wagons. Is it possible to set powered wagons on, but without multihead engines?

Don't worry about forcing the multihead switch to be one way or another. It's a gameplay option the patch has provided and a graphics set should not seek to override/interfere with such an option. Such settings are up to the player, not set creators, to determine. (e.g. Would want you play a train set that refused to load/work unless - say - the "moresteam" switch was set to a particular value?)

As far as both heads being at the start of a train, isn't it possible for the player to simply drag the added wagons back inside the pair in the consist, so that it looks correct? If not, isn't it possible to simply change the MU engine to a single vehicle, but with a livery override for the last wagon so that it matches/mirrors the start vehicle (like you have done with the streamlining end to the Pendolino)?

I haven't tested the fix yet (downloading it now though!) but the speed with which you are addressing any issues raised is very impressive. Good work. :mrgreen:

It's not problem, but AI can't recompose train AFAIK. So if AI build "Beovoz" or some MU working like it, it would look ugly :( Maybe the only way is set all MUs to work like "Pendolino". Any proposition?

I have done some further experimenting, it crashes when overriding CSDSet (but does not for example with DBSetCL). But ID59 in CSDSet is an engine that has 0E defined...and I play with it for a long time without having any problem with that vehicle. I am now consulting it with CSDSet author.

Well, at least, for me the solution is simple...just disable one of conflicting sets temporaraily when playing with the other.

It's possible solution, but I think bad. For example, "Beovoz" iz highly AI ranked (it's in frequent use IRL).

It's a pity NG set isn't compatible with CSD set... :( I supposed NG set will be attractive in combination with other sets (it uses small amount of IDs, and it's first finished NG set). Hope that mess will be fixed. I experimented with US set, they work together, and Rob experimented with DBsetXL, it overrides some engines, but it's still playable.

Multiple Unit Trains and the AI ...
The best thing is to use a single engine (the leading head), then always have the last passenger wagon with livery override to driving trailer (add extra power and weight if applicable) and the AI will buy correctly unless it decides to add a mail wagon to the train (does that quite often). In that case cater for it by having a mail wagon livery override too; that way the train will look right even if it carries mail in the trailer.

... or you could implement it as simple dual head. The AI will always buy the wagons first, when it buys the engine, it will wrap around the wagons and your train will look right.

Yes, all MUs have livery override for all passenger and mail wagons, and dissalowing to attach other wagons. But second solution you proposed is more interesting. How to code that? Only to change prop. 13 in action 0 or something else (callback etc.)?

Yes, you just need action-00 prop-13 set to 01h. But if your engine (leading head and driving trailer) is not symetrical you'll need to double the sprites [2 sets of 8] and code them to be used as forward or rearward facing. Having headlights and backlights will make them asymetrical or having a panto on the lead engine, but none on the trailer.

Actually, in Serbian trains front panto is down and rear is up :wink: Anyway, I'll try to do something.

I have created a map of Serbia from DMR satellite data, because playing with Serbian trains at Scotland (as I do now) simply looks a bit strange.
However, being not a Serbian, I did not place any other features like towns, industries and important names to it. Even Danube itself has to be added with any other rivers (and canals) which may be used by ships.
Simply, this is an empty relief model and I leave it to someone more familiar with the country to finish it, if he wishes to do so.

OK, let's do it. Here is first version, only with Sava, Danube, Tisa, Velika Morava, Juzna Morava, Timok (because it's river with low altitude) and upper flow of Drina and Zapadna Morava. What do you think? Is it possible to add new industries/cargos and canals to scenario? In industry meny are only standard industries.

Looks fine.
I am unable to activate serbian industries even with other new grf turned off - when I click on it's activation button, it remains always red. However, no errors or conflicts are reported in the newgrf activation menu, when starting TTDX or at any other time.
To add canals, you will probably have to start it as a game, add canals, save it, open in scenario editor and save as scenario. But I am not sure about it, I have not tried this yet.
Maybe you should also introduce some towns (and industries?) at neighboring countries. Empty parts of map look strange.

I'll see about new towns/industries in neighbouring countries, let's do it for now without them. Now here is some mistakes fixed, and some explanations:
I added iron ore mine wherever is any mine, and steel mill wherever is any metal mill. I added now factories everywhere (with new industries, when I'll finish them, it will be possible to add glass factories in Paracin, Pancevo and Zajecar or car industries in Kragujevac and Priboj) for this version.
I don't know what's problem with new industries? I'll check.

By the way, is it a purpose, that "Orient express" traincar have maximum speed 24 km/h? It makes them pretty unusable and the contrast is even more apparent because they are allowed to be used with express high-speed historical engines only...

No, I haven't set max speed? It may be bug in code. I'll check. For now, disable maxspeed in ttdpatchw.cfg. And about that you can't see new industries: maybe you have not newindustries on. Anyway, they are for now in tropic climate only.

Ah, that is it. I missed the part about tropic climate. Then they will of course not appear in the scenario...I generated the map as temperate.

Is it possible, that TTDX reads the max speed from some other overridden trainset if it is not set?
On the other hand, I have disabled every other trainset and the speed still remains on 24km/h (15mph). Other freight vehicles also have their speed set, but the value was OK, usually somewhere between 59-140km, so I did not consider it to be a bug.

If you don't set the speed, you'll get a default speed limit depending on the introduction date. If you want no speed limit at all, you have to set that explicitly.

Hello. I've been busy/away, but am still managing to play with the Serbian Set a little and enjoy it a lot. I noticed one thing (and it's my favourite old moan about loading speeds :twisted: ) - the Pendolino loco (which holds 40 passengers) is still stuck at the old 5 passengers speed. I don't know if any othe 'MU heads are like this (haven't had the opportunity to check!) but you might want to see. It was very noticeable with the Pendo as it basically doubled the amount of time it spent at the platform compared to other passenger trains.
