Re: Name that Plane
Nope!
BTW, if anyone wants to complain about this being a film prop: it counts as a plane, it did fly in the movie. It's also, imo, perfectly recognisable as being what it is even if you haven't seen the movie it was used in.

Re: Name that Plane
Has everyone lost interest?
Okay, here's a couple more clues;
The movie starred Robert Redford.
The plane has had its wheels and canopy modified, and the bracing wires are fake. Other than that, it's a standard aircraft of which several hundred were made.

Re: Name that Plane
The only thing that comes to mind is the Curtiss JN-4 but that looks more like a replacement for the Fokker E.IV
Interested in helping out where ever possible.

Re: Name that Plane
Probably.
Identifying the movie isn't really necessary though. Like I said, it's a pretty common aircraft with a few minor cosmetic changes.

Re: Name that Plane
The JN-4 is a pre-WWI biplane. How is this even remotely a JN-4?Nextra wrote:The only thing that comes to mind is the Curtiss JN-4

Re: Name that Plane
DHC-1 Chipmunk
P.S. Guessing a movie prop sucks
Especially if a plane doesn't represent itself...
