I just set up the latest one and started my server up no problems
BUT YET AGAIN I HAD TO MAKE A NEW MAP :(
Why are my older 25 maps not working with this version?

Code: Select all

[network]
max_join_time = 2000
pause_on_join = false
server_bind_ip = 0.0.0.0
server_port = 3979
server_advertise = true
lan_internet = 1
player_name = mega rail
server_password =
rcon_password = *****
server_name = mega rails server
connect_to_ip = 82.124.136.72:3979
network_id = 02c3ee4dbe5bd59c5728cdc86ed47862
autoclean_companies = false
autoclean_unprotected = 12
autoclean_protected = 36
restart_game_date = 0
pause_on_no_clients = false
Why doen`t that work for the latest integated?
It works for standerd ottd and it worked for i4

It's out. :?
I mean, a stable release, like 0.4.0.1 is. If you get my meaning.

Goods stop if not picked up for a long time...

Post by heppers »

Is there an option to turn this off, or extend the amount of time goods have to wait before it stops producing them?
I'm one of the nutters that like long routes and long trains to run them but by the time the train gets back instead of there nearly being a trainfull of whatever it all dissappears, therefore forcing my train to wait ages and thus reducing its profitability.

:lol:

Look - If you have bad station ratings, the industry is more like to decrease and the whole point of the game is to have as frequent service as possible whether long trains or not and with that having efficient railways too. I too though long trains are a bit too much, but they are quite nice, as you don't need many of them and are even more realistic. In reality/my country every train has so many waggons I just can't count them on one hand (mainly 40 waggons).

In any case - learn to make more efficient networks, I think you have enough tools provided. ;-)

Somebody compile a new build on r3142 and onwards?
There's been a few new patches in it, especially articulated vehicles by peter1138

bug.
every time i try to buy up a player owned company(lan. internet STILL won`t work for me :( ) the game crashes.
also.
I don`t like the new auto replace as it made every one of my 150++ trains one unit to long :( and i had to do every one of them again one at a time :( . Please go back to the older version.
And wasn`t there a station detils pacth in itegated at one time?

in the official OTTD, you can't do that since it will cause problems :P

Not possible since it's a complete rewrite to allow other stuff like articulated train engines. The train too long issue is still talked about what we should do

Also I will make this clear: I don't like the integrated nightly build because if there is a bug we will never know which patch that caused it or if it is OTTD itself. Besides I got a savegame with a bug and I could not load it because I was unable to compile all those patches in the same binary.
In short: we can't deal with bug reports from integrated nightly build

it was posted HERE as it was intended for fox alpa as he is doing the integated right now.
If the problem is not present in nightlys then it is NOT your problem.

I had problems with patches compiling to:

SVN source + patch 1 -> Correctly
SVN source + patch 2 -> Correctly
SVN source + patch 1 + patch 2 -> Loads of errors :?

I know, but sometimes people ask me for help, besides I was told to go here due to the too long train issue, which is an issue for me

Does FoxAlpha not distribute ... *checks*

Nope. He sure doesn't.

FoxAlpha, you need to provide, at the very least, a trivially applicable patch. Note that that is *singular*. One patch file that will make all the necessary changes to the source.
For full compliance with the GPL, you must also provide a full source archive if you provide a binary. See the "A diff is *NOT* the source" link in my siggy.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Actually, to maintain compliance with the GPL, we may also:
GPL, section 3, subsection b wrote:Accompany it with a written offer, valid for at least three years, to give any third party, for a charge no more than your cost of physically performing source distribution, a complete machine-readable copy of the corresponding source code, to be distributed under the terms of Sections 1 and 2 above on a medium customarily used for software interchange
So, either the full source or a good offer to make it available to those who want it.

You have selected orig_veh.lng in the "Options" - if you use "English" language it's ok. It's nothing really - one has to fix that origveh.lng for the integrated, that's all.

Now now Bjarni if you, developers, included all of the great patches out there in the "official" nightly build like you very quickly do with all the patches, which you, developers, produce, then there would be no need for Integrated nightly, alright :?:

Now I agree most of the bigger patches probably weren't tested enough, but they are nice and people could help improve them, but I guess there aren't enough active board members who know programming...
I can say my patches are without bugs, well tested, but are quite small...
