Alright... I guess im just going to have to keep using 2ccTrainSet to Keep the costs Balences (eg. a F Unit might be 80,000 USD and a Passenger Coach might be 4,000 USD rather then 44,000 USD) Though, if the locomotives where more expensive, but the wagons and cars also exensive, but balenced prices, I think that would seam more realistic since locomotives and wagons\cars aren't cheap.PikkaBird wrote:Okay, well, the problem is caused by different base costs. You're not going to be able to fix it.

Hmm, an idea, what about adding a refit option to the 4-4-2 Atlantic to turn it in to a 4-4-2 Hiawatha and change the speed and TE to 100 Mph and 136kN TE and of corse, 1,400 HP

The Milwaukee A is unusual, specific and rare, and it doesn't fit with the date or statistics of the existing Atlantic. If you want a Hiawatha, the F7 is one of the streamlined Hudson variants.NekoMaster wrote:Hmm, an idea, what about adding a refit option to the 4-4-2 Atlantic to turn it in to a 4-4-2 Hiawatha and change the speed and TE to 100 Mph and 136kN TE and of corse, 1,400 HP
As always, there's nothing stopping you or anyone else making a "NARS compatible" Milwaukee A as a seperate grf.

Re: NARS2 - the North American Renewal Set [2.03 28 Aug 09]
Nikko, I'd have to agree with pikka on the MILW Atlantic. The class A was a very large atlantic, IIRC almost as big as a USRA Pacific. But that does raise the question why is the DD40AX in the set? However the old US set did have the Class As.
I do see some valididty to the refit for a different class though. That could give us SD and GP 38, 39, 40, and 45s, and there dash-2 variants, maybe even F45, and C30-7s and other ones that would be almost identical in game appereance. Doubt if it's possible to do it that way, but would be nice since I've run into times where SD40-2s won't cut it, the Alcos are
Personally, I would like to see RS-11s in the game, in addition to the B-B century series, and an RSD-15.

Yeah, i would like to see some of the GP variants and same with the SD's, and I would really love a F45\FP45. Also a RSD-15 would be nicePacker wrote:Nikko, I'd have to agree with pikka on the MILW Atlantic. The class A was a very large atlantic, IIRC almost as big as a USRA Pacific. Re: NARS2 - the North American Renewal Set [2.03 28 Aug 09]
I tried my had at an RS11 and GP40-2 in the mean time. They are only mock-ups made using the original NARS sprites.
The RS-11 was made by increasing the height of the hood of the RS3 and adding some of the different grilles. The GP40-2 was made by adding another fan and removing the box behind the cab.

Hmm, also It would be nice to have the passenger hauling GP40 Variants like the Gp40tc or the GP40WH2, if you can draw up the spries and make them good enough Im sure pikka would be happy to add them if possiblePacker wrote:I tried my had at an RS11 and GP40-2 in the mean time. You know those are NARS 1 sprites, right? I can PM you the NARS2 GP/SD sprites if you want.Packer wrote:I tried my had at an RS11 and GP40-2 in the mean time. They are only mock-ups made using the original NARS sprites.
Add them to NARS, no. Code them as an add-on grf, possibly, but only after the NARS 2.1 update.if you can draw up the spries and make them good enough Im sure pikka would be happy to add them if possible
Re: NARS2 - the North American Renewal Set [2.03 28 Aug 09]
It's what I had on hand, and I didn't want to plagurize the NARS 2 sprites. But if you have the NARS2 sprites and can PM them, that'd be great. If you have the ones for the cab units (FAs, PAs, Fs, Es, etc) those would be much appreciated too.PikkaBird wrote:You know those are NARS 1 sprites, right? There is that parameter in NARS 2 that allows it.PikkaBird wrote:Add them to NARS, no. Code them as an add-on grf, possibly, but only after the NARS 2.1 update.
Most of the GP40 passenger variants are 1-road only engines, and they kind of get rid of the point of having an F40PH, since the others were almost all local engines.NekoMaster wrote: Hmm, also It would be nice to have the passenger hauling GP40 Variants like the Gp40tc or the GP40WH2, if you can draw up the spries and make them good enough Im sure pikka would be happy to add them if possible
Re: NARS2 - the North American Renewal Set [2.03 28 Aug 09]
That allows what? A NARS addon grf would, of course, be NARS compatible, so wouldn't need the parameter set to be used.Packer wrote: There is that parameter in NARS 2 that allows it.
I'll PM you the sprite sheet.

Disable NARS2 from disabling itself:
Set the NARS 2 parameter to 0 0 0 0 5
Me luvs NARS 2 but want all sortsa different stuff so I disable its disabling itself

Um, isn't the SD45-2 just a more up to date and reliable SD45?Packer wrote:Alright, I got the SD38-2 and SD45-2 done.

Re: NARS2 - the North American Renewal Set [2.03 28 Aug 09]
It depends on the creators if they want to include it or not.
I did a bunch of geeps in the meantime.
I might do the 35s next, maybe a F45.

Re: NARS2 - the North American Renewal Set [2.03 28 Aug 09]
For now I can make a simple set till pikka or someone codes the set as a addon to nars2 (like horn sound, running sounds, extra info, parameter to change the livery)Packer wrote:It depends on the creators if they want to include it or not.

Re: NARS2 - the North American Renewal Set [2.03 28 Aug 09]
No new engine this time. Instead, it's a mock-up of one:
I'm gonna try the | and - views before the / and \ views, so I want to see what people think in these ones. I do have the FP45 sprites from the US set, maybe I should repaint that before rather than make one from scratch. I'll probably re-do the red on it for Player 3's livery when they have passenger cars behind.

Also could you send me a sprite sheet with the F45 when your done and the trains you've made (just the black roofed ones)
