Haha - Berlin won't be until next Easter at the very earliest! So it's just long term planning, and getting excited over what we could use these Avios from the LA/San Fran holiday for!
If you have the lounge access already, I'd personally stick around in Economy on the flight and save the Avios!

Well, if we changed it, it'd be to cash + Avios, so 9,000 Avios plus whatever the cash is. But I think we'll probably stick with what we have now.
