No, it ignores trees that are already there. IMO it's a cheat to make a young tree old, that's why you pay four times more if you do it. To plant two trees on every tile automatically, one of them would have to be a grown up one, and that won't be realistic.can you plant multiple trees on one tile by that rectangle thingie
As far as I know, towns don't care how many trees are there on a tile, they count how many tiles have trees on them. I think lumber mills should be affected, tough.Just a question though, when you plant pultiple trees, does it upgrade your rating in the town, I had a town on poor and by 2 clicks it was good
But then I turned all those new trees in 4 trees per tile and my rating didn't change anymore , it stayed at good !
Yes, something like that. The variable that stores the position of the last tree initially contains the bottom right corner of the map. In order to reset this variable properly, I had to know the position of a code part that is executed when loading or starting a game. I don't know where such code is, so I tihnk it won't be fixed.second question, when you go in the game for the first time, so after you start it, and you plant a tree while holding ctrl, it builds a lot of them because it costs a lot of money, is this an initilization problem ?
It's already implemented. You can preview the cost of anything in TTD by holding down Shift. If you try to do something while holding down Shift, it won't be done but its cost will be displayed. So plant the first tree, hold down Ctrl and Shift, and try to plant the second tree.Nice work! Great patches
It would be nice if there was a way to see how much it would cost though... Can that be implemented??
I can if I can find the dynamite code. I think it's harder to find than the tree-planting code.to author: could you make the same with dynamite (and ctrl key) ??
I don't know how to do that.can you implement that feature to stop industries closing in stable climate?
I've just uploaded a new version with the following features:
- cht: PlantTree sign cheat. It plants a rectangle of trees around the sign. Basically it's the same as plantmanytrees 2, but doesn't need Ctrl (so can be used in multiplayer). Its first parameter is the x size of the rectangle, the second is the y size, the third is the type of the tree to plant. If you omit the last parameter, random trees will be planted. If you only give one parameter, it'll plant random trees in an n x n sqare. If you don't give any parameters at all, it'll plant a 40x40 sqare of random trees. That's the range of a lumber mill, so when a lumber mill stops working, you simply put a "cht: PlantTree" sign above it, and all trees in its range will be replanted. If it stops working again, you can delete the tick mark from the sign text to replant the trees again. Can't be easier I think
- You can plant identical signs on the map from now on. Without this, you can't use a sign cheat correctly if there's already one with exactly the same text.
- I think I could fix a bug that allowed you to use a station name, town name or even a company name for a sign cheat if there's already a "normal" sign on the map.
- new debug sign cheat "cht: landinfo" to find out values of the given tile in the landscape arrays.
Executables and sources can be downloaded from the places in the first post.

- cht: PlantTree sign cheat......
Does it will cost with 'cheatscost on' ?
- You can plant identical signs on the map from now on....
There is something I'd like to see ... sometimes when I'm building new station it's name is the name of a town ... but if I'm trying to do this by renaming station I can't ... can you fix it ?

Yes, of course.SHADOW-XIII wrote:- cht: PlantTree sign cheat......

I can't do that. The only thing I can do is to disable this error at all, but this would mean that there can be two or more stations/town/companies etc. with the same name. This wouldn't be nice.- You can plant identical signs on the map from now on....
