Er, was 4777.

Latest nightly was built from revision r4784, created at Mon May 8 20:00:08 CEST 2006.

It's nightly. There's a new one every night.

I am heeding my own call...I think maybe steam locomotives don't look so good with tiny puffs coming out of them, unlike the massive plumes in TTDP, but they look nice nevertheless, and we should have more of them in the archives.

Anyway...

This screenshot commemorates Burlington Railroad's record-breaking Pioneer Zephyr journey non-stop from Chicago to Denver. The 1,633 km took 13 hours 5 minutes, with an average speed of 124 km/h.

The screenshot, unfortunately, does not include many OTTD features, apart from the extremely long (a relative term in American railroading ;)) trains. Still, it shows off the now rather impressive (also a relative term, since there IS TTDP :P) new GRF support that OTTD has.

EDIT: Haha, I forgot to change the currency to dollars...

That screenshot is WAAAAY too big. I would prefer something along the lines of max 800x600 for the screenshots section so you can look at it without scrolling. I guess 1024x768 is still ok, but not any bigger.

I would trim it myself but the interesting parts are in the two corners :p

I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you. Spoilers and bodykits are how much of the wall you take with you. Rollcages and windownets are how much of a mess you leave on the wall.

US Industries. All three types of grain loader and some livestock pens, made into an irregular station.

The depot is likely another station graphic, or just several depots end to end.

Several depots end-to-end. I can't find the grf, though.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

The wider depot is here: http://tt-forums.net/download.php?id=46225

And Darkvater, there already are 1280x976 screenshots. If I crop mine to a smaller size than that, will you accept it? The current size is 1200x900. It still has almost everything I intended to show, except the top and bottom bars are gone, and the end of the coal train cannot be seen. The problem is that really long trains take up almost 500 pixels, so it's hard to show anything else. I'll work on some more 'cramped' screenshots though.

Here's a Sub-Tropical screenshot, set in 1943, one of the busiest years, thanks to the war, in the history of American railroading. The Big Boy here is carrying one of Union Pacific's US Army troop trains. As you can see, the company borrowed some stainless steel passenger carriages for the officers. ;)

Which reminds me. I need to draw different sizes of coal piles, according to coal waiting, and have different colours for Iron ore and Copper ore.

Well, keep the current coal piles as they are since people like having coal stockpiles at their steam train stations, to add a bit of steaming-age authenticity. :)

Also, while snow versions of stations work fine, the desert variants are not shown. I had to use default OTTD waypoints in my screenshot.

since this is a bumped old thread I'll ask the question - have the new stations been removed from the nightly?

AFAIK not, you just need to load a newstations grf to activate them.

Probably the fact that it's not directly obvious to anyone who doesn't read the forums very much. It took me some time before I figured out the GRF and stuff. (Yeah I know, shoulda read the wiki)

If you want to know what's in and what's been removed, read the SVN log.
