I have tried to download OTTD but when I want to install it I am asked what I want to open it with.
I have no idea - I'm not very good with computers
Can some one guide me to an idiot-proof installation guide please

Please refrain from resurrecting dead and old threads. This one is over a year old, and the release is obsolete. There is a newer release thread for such questions. Somebody should lock this thread, poste haste.

Oletimer, please download 0.4.7, try to install it again, and make a new topic if you're still unable to install

lol MeusH, he doesn't know what version he should download. That's the point i think. Usually it's the win32 version. All persons who do not have Windows know what Operating system they are in front of

Oletimer, please go to http://www.openttd.org and click there to download the latest release. Make sure you get the 'Windows Installer' one. I am locking this thread.
