George what do you mean?
the 2nd and 9th car in the train? I did give the diferend sprites, and as far as I can see mauo did use them. Th roofs have a bit red on top of them now.
mauro maybe you could start the windows a bit later on those cars? so people like george see the diference :P
Oh btw, it looks like the engine on the fron isn't aligned right? I just noticed :o, I think it should be one pixelrow lower (the Y-rel)

Look at the pictures.Image Image
The second wagon in the consist has a higher part in the front part about 1/3 of its' length. At the picture the second wagons looks very similar to the third and doesn't have the higher part.
And the back head looks wrong. The window has not to be seen from the top, but only from the side.

The higher parts were there already, but they weren't clear enough. I made them one pixel longer. With the windows starting later on these cars, it's a lot easier to notice. Or should i stretch it a bit further?

The allignment of the first engine should be fixed now. It wasn't the yrel, but the wheels weren't put in the right place.

I'll try to fix the back head another time.

Youe edited the back head, George? You seem to have mixed up two different engine heads in this case. The front head is the newest, more streamlined version of the Thalys. The back head is obviously the one you posted a pic of in your previous post. Me says that doesn't match!

You didn’t get the idea. I didn’t say I drew graphics. I called my picture “thoughts”, because I only mentioned the problem. I wanted to show, that:
- You will not see the back part of the window even in new model at this angle
- The upper part on the wagon has to be highlighted to make the effect of elevation
I also think the loco has to be 2 pixels longer

But look at your repost of the pic again... it looks different then Mauro's post :( .

Let's start a little contest: who can draw the missing window in the picture? :D

Or maybe we can leave it like this and i'll try to add the side windows (which are almost as hard to do as the back window)?

Why didn't you used the red highlighting, as I did on my picture? The second wagon looks flat.

You mean different Thalys? Isn't the one in the second post correct?

There are two Thalys desings. PBA (looks like 1st generation tgv) and PBKA which looks like tgv-duplex. Clearly Mauro is trying to make PBKA.

ANYHOO - the back loocomotive looks flat - you'll need to work on shading there.

As you can see in my second post, PBKA is represented there, and the PBA in the first. Both, the PBA and PBKA look similar at the end half of the loco and the wagons. And I mean, that at Mauro’s picture it looks different, than at any of two pictures, I send.

Sorry George, but i can't see it. Maybe you'll have to highlight it a bit more precise.

I always thought we were talking about the back window (which i can't draw)...

I was speaking about both the front and the rare part. In the front part you can see, that I highlighted with light red the high part of a wagon. I also changed a door and windows. In the rare wagon I also changed door and windows.

I've drawn Dutch Train Graphics

Post by Purno »

I have drawn graphics of a large amount of Dutch Trains but I don't know how to put these graphics into a .grf-file. Is there anyone who can help me?

Assembling a GRF file is VERY hard because it requires coding in hex. There is information on how to do it in the Wiki, but it is awfully complicated. As far as I know, the only one who knows how and is willing to do it for others, is Oracle, and he is busy on the US set (and after that, the Japan set.)

Owen is writing a tool, GRF Creator, which will make a GUI for the process and thus make it much easier. But this tool isn't done yet. I think he's working on it this week.
