Thats correct, but the ABs is a controlwagon, not a train. The reason i made the frontlights for the ABs is becouse i hade an idea to make it a "train" in the game. It would be cool to have the ABs up front, and maybe a EA og something in the back of the train. Would make it more realistic

That's likely because DSB needs them to work with no catenary as they should be used on the line Copenhagen-Kalundborg and it lacks catenary after Roskilde. Even if it had catenary, they use 1500 V DC in The Netherlands while we use 25.000 V. The train engines aren't compatible.

Also ATC might have caused issues as well.
you right and to user the cars dsb intallet ZWS the on the ME to communika widt them, also we bougte them becours the MG (IC4) is not finish, so the IC3 can not be friet to local transport.

Actually they are used together with ME, not EA.
I wonder if we can make the grf that if you build a steering car (this goes for all of them, not just ABs), then you can only add wagons after it of the right type and then an engine of the right type. Kind of like when we get that "more" sign.
actually, eyecandy is realism, becouse it will look right, and be realistic. Since when the train arrives at Copenhagen it want turn all around to go to Roskilde. You will operat the lokomotiv for the control wagon Hence, realistic AND eyecandy
I got it, but when the train goes from kalundborg to copenhagen, the "control wagon" is always in front hmm but we just have to wait to TTD has the Push feature some day
Lachris wrote:The problem is the ABs is not a train and in TTD the trains cant PUSH, only pull the wagons. This feature is not done yet
In OpenTTD, you can make a steering car, that's an engine with 0 power. This way you can put it in front of the train, in the middle and in the rear as you like. Since it will have 0 power, it will be stopped in the depot with "No Power" Instead of "Stopped" and you will get a red error message telling that it lacks power if you try to start it. Once you add an engine to the train, the total power of the whole train will be differerent from 0 and the train can start moving. As I didn't test this, it might not work 100%, but any issues can be solved. The question is more like what will the patch say to this and how to code grf files to work this way.

they are called "steering cars" in English (at least that is what I'm told)
All this steering car talk reminds me of when DSB somehow managed to turn a train around, so the steering car and the locomotive had switched places. It took days before it was back to normal and in all that time, one of the trains had first class and room for bikes in the "wrong" end of a 7 wagon train
