Not entirely true. We already have limiting on railways and roads and airports. This wouldn't be completely from outer space. Personaly, I wouldn't mind.

"Lock gates" won´t work w/o using a state machine and/or fitting ships with dimensions and bounding boxes, etc. There should be some ancient discussions with Oskar to be found here (or elsewhere) about those problems. In those old days, I prefered "gates" for locks myself (I´d already drawn them), but the TTD internals didn´t allow for that.

Meanwhile, I was able to do something similar using newobjects. :cool:
