haha ok - i can´t really use KaZaA or iMesh until I get a new motherboard - this one is old and wearing out. It´s only got a 300 MHz processor anyway - i´m gonna get a faster one and try to have more than 96 MB of RAM :D
Thanks,
Adam Reece.

5.1 speakers are good yea but its hard to get sound to come out well though the back speakers. I go some harman/kardon speakers and there good.

I said soon! There not going to be too long. Intel will take over if they take there time!

MSN gaming zone

Post by Maruku »

Hello PPL

OK, I´m new to this forum stuff... so let me get used to it for a few posts plz :D.

Hmz, I don´t know wether this thread´s still about playing online, since you´re all talking about your computer specs. But I´d like to point you to the MSN gaming zone function called IPX zonelan

Maybe some ppl of this forum can start off a little TT community within the MSN gaming zone. :D that´d be cool.

So, my first post and erm... cya later ppl

I use the IPX Zone LAN

But...

Transport Tycoon uses TCP Winsock, no IPX option there.
Thanks,
Adam Reece.

There is a IPX option in TTD. Only the windows version though I believe. Have you tested it Maruku?
Because TTD isn´t made for internet play. Only networks and direct dialups!

Yeah, I did try the IPX MP option of TTD. Actually, I still use it, since a m8 of mine lives close to me and loves TTD as much as I do.

That was why I posted my post :D. Since the IPX function works perfectly, and MSN gaming zone offers you the possibility to emulate an IPX network. We should try it sometime. I can´t seem to find anyone who´s willing to try it, so I´m asking the lot of you forumming ppl :D.

Ow yeah. With the unpatched TTD version, you can only play head to head. Don´t know wether the patch makes it possible to connect multiple players.
