Hear hear! (Although I think it highly unlikely)Joopjr wrote:I never had a crash of openttd on Mac. I only have some minor graphical issues but no big game stoppers. I love to see some unsupported mac compiled download

Wow you guys are the greatest.
Sorry for the erronous bug report earlier (as 'JaminBob'). I was trying to be helpful. I'll manage it one of these days

Cool, but... Still no diagonal* raise/lower/bomb/etc? You still have to painstakingly do this one node at a time?
When will this feature be integrated into the main trunk, or will it remain controversial and left out indefinitely? I see there are several attempts and patches, but I would have thought this would have made it into trunk yonks ago. The great thing about OpenTTD is that most operations can be done in batch, but it seems a major shortcoming still to have to do diagonal stuff one click at a time.
*Diagonal to main game play, so parallel with the monitor edges.
Here's a thought. If the problem is that people can't agree on the interface, why not make the interface user-selectable, then everyone's happy?

Should do, I reckon. PC Gamer (UK) would probably be interested.

Well if the time for 1.0.0 final draws near I am certain ross.atherton@futurenet.co.uk, the editor of PC Gamer UK could be informed of this.

Do you thimnk one of the OTTD developers should contact them? I'd be happy to do it, or maybe we should all do it, that way, they'll know how big it really is.

Re: OpenTTD 1.0.0-beta2
I have absolutely no idea how to do a press release. Also I'm (personally) not someone that wants to 'spam' people because of a new release. If they're interested they'll pick it us some time or get told by someone else; word of mouth is much better than spam.
Re: OpenTTD 1.0.0-beta2
Indeed, and people seeking out <something> out of interest are usually willing to spend more time/interest into learning it.
While I for example like the Vim text editor it can not be "sold" to a newbie in 5 minutes since if you only spend 5 minutes on reading the manual or some introduction text you will miss a lot of the power of that tool.
