Big-Glis station looks a bit weird with those loops and the 90 degree turn though. I can live with 2x45 ones, but NOT 90.
Yeah i think it looks pretty horrid too, but it was incredibly tight for space ! :(

Utterly brilliant pictures Jake! I love the alps, never been to Switzerland though, only Austria. I would love to see more pictures and if you would indeed be so kind to post the edited scenario that would be grand!

Cheers!

Terminus station then? It doesn't look good the way it is.

On a happier note the rest of it is great!

Aigle & Monthey station. Two mainline SBB trains converge on the platform, with the smaller Transport Publics de Chablais train ascending the mountains towards Les Diablerets.

(Small problems with the light somehow poking up through the wooden road bridge south of the station  )

Some of Lake Geneva (Lac Leman).

1. Lausanne is at a pivot position in Switzerland, being on a lake sure and roughly at a nodal point between two valleys. Here, an SBB mainline train charges off towards Geneva, while a local coach loads up before supplying Eastern Switzerland with tourists.

2. [MOVING WEST AROUND THE LAKE] Although smaller, Nyon suffers a lot of train traffic, as it is here that the line splits, with trains going east (towards Lausanne, Aigle & Monthey and Brig) or north (Yverdon-les-Bains and Bern). Two SBB mainline trains can be seen going opposite directions, and the well-known Nyon American Football team

3. [CONTINUING SOUTH-WEST] Gex is situated on the approach to Geneva (Genf), and is also at the foot of the Jura mountains. Here, an SBB train leaves to make its final approach to Geneva, while several local 'PostBus' services supply local villages.

A new, random shot :)

A narrow gauge train makes its final approach to Engelberg resort, a popular ski area dwarfed by the Titlis and Spannort. Incidentally, it is here that the only revolving cable car in the world can be found, transporting skiers up to the Titlis Glacier Paradise (3030m).
