the patch should be independet - if the weight-thingy is removed from the miniIN, its difficult so solve this problem again
if the car-weight is integrated in the stable release, this soultion is ok
the easiest method is to hardcode it
empty vehilce = weight x
full vehicle = weight y
ignore the different car- and cargo-types
just to have different values for calculations

ok including the whole weightcalculation thingy is a good idea
i guess its not 100% correct, that a slower train derails easier
i guess its a curve like this
i bet, that a train, wich crashes with 5 km/h probably not derail
a train with, say 50 km/h easy derail and with - say 150km also derails easy but the momentum is so big, that there is no resistance by the "target"
i'm not sure about that, but it seems to be logical
---
there should also be a definition for derailment
> a train could "jump" out of the rails and unable to move further for x days, the train wont be destroyed - this happens at medium speeds and could happen very often
> a train could derail, tilt and crash = worst case - this would happen on high speed crashes if the train derails, the train gets destroyed in this scenario
combinations of this scenarios
> a 1+9 train, the loco and 4 cars jump out of the rails, the 5 cars on the back end of the train derail and crash (train got a 15-day breakdown and is 5 cars shorter than before)

i guess its a curve like this
Code: Select all
--> greater speed ^ chance of derailment
