Now *that* is a big city...

towngrowthlimit can go from 12 to 128. TTD's default is 20. It determines how far from the town centre a town can grow.
largertowns sets how many towns get an increased growth rate, e.g. "largertowns 5" sets one in five towns to get a larger growth rate.
Petaja, I think the reason that the towns get smaller is that a building disappears, but because your towngrowthlimit is too small it can't be rebuilt. Or maybe it just replaces all those big buildings with stupid fountains and statues...

How does largertowns work? Just picking towns that can get larger or every fifht one that grows can become very big?

I tried using towngrowthlimit 128, and it didn't work, it spoke of an invalid line in my .cfg file. Which alpha was it released in?

And in that same scenario i tried another town, which grew above 40k and is circular
So what causes this 2 different shapes ?

Lol, true... but growth is stopping now. We've got the mountains to the west, national park + miltary reserve to the south, something to the north (forgotRaichase wrote:I agree.
