Well. So for now my truck rehaul project is on-hold. I got them drawn, but I must wait for software support :wink:
Also - If I can ask - it would be best if mountains/curves worked with trucks and their speed limit was rised above hard 127 kph :)

The limit is 511 km/h, but currently you can't set it that high through either TTDAlter or the new sprites. You'd have to hack the savegame...

I'll define a mechanism how to do that soon, too.

The mountains/curves probably won't happen, though. Mountains are already sort-of built in with the rvpower, and I think curves will stay the way they are.

OK, I've updated the first post in this thread with new info for alpha 21. Now, you can set road vehicles to have a top speed of up to 511 km/h, and you can choose their sound effect, and you can make them refittable. Isn't that something!

I released new (testing) versionof TTDPATCH STARTER ... all unavabile options are disabled ... all enabled options should be bug free
anyway new update to newest patch is avabile now .. get it:

I cannot get the new graphics to work

I have created the "newgrf" folder and extracted there the EnhancedCargo graphic files. I have copied the contents of the cargosetw.grf to the newgrfw.txt file in the TTD folder. And I have enabled the switches newtrains on", "newships on", "newrvs on" and/or "newplanes on". Still no result.
(this was following the instructions at ttdpatch.com)

I would like to make the electrified railways work at least, but I don't know what line should I add to the ttdpatch.cfg file to enable them.

I have followe all the instructions and copied the files to the newggf folder, and the contents of "erails.grf" into "newgrf.txt" in the TTD folder. The result is: Maglev tracks are replaced with monorail tracks. And the maglevs move over the monorail tracks.
Please tell me what this could mean.

It means that you have unified magles set to 2 because the electric trains take up the monorail slot.

It looks OK to me. Where does it hang?

Note that you'll have to change the first line to be able to load it in the patch, it doesn't currently reflect the total number of entries in the file.

That is what I get. No info on the console. it just hangs. And btw - i have corrected that first line to C4 (196 lines)

Okay, i decided to learn to make new grf files myself :!:

First of all, where can i get that trg1.nfo file, i can't find it anywhere.

I downloaded the examples, and i couldn't read them with notepad, do i need some other prog to make grf-files? Perl, wasn't it?

Maybe i've should read the manual first... I readed it, and now i'm learned a bit.

But one thing is still puzzling me, i'll show you:

This code line is from grfcodec tutorial

- Allright, tell me if i'm wrong: First number before asterisk tells what sprite game uses in it's picture or someway like that.
- Asterisk tells that is a pseudo-sprite (whatever it it :? ).
- Seventeen tell the number of digits or bytes, how much there are them.
But i don't understand those last byte number, what are they? I tried to read it from readme, but didn't still understand.
