Mr. Jim Powers,

I see you are back again! So welcome!

I do remember the old days indeed, where you made all those awesome maps! :D
And when you were located in Israel IIRC. ;)

Always,
Mr. X

P.s. I tend to take over your style of writing when talking directly to you. :P

Mr. X;

Thank you remembering, kind Sir. Also, it's a nice compliment
to have your respect. Of course, I do not deserve neither do I
expect another to "do as I do". But, being raised as I was raised,
this is the results of such raising.

I fully plan to return to making scenarios for my beloved game, TTD,
as soon as it is possible. I miss doing them and I miss the friendship
of our TT-Forums family and friends.

I'll be back soon, I promise.

phew....
that took a long time!
back to formality
Mr. Powers
I really like your scenarios. I have most of them, and enjoy playing on them always. I was hoping if you could load some of your favourite save games here. I always like to see fantastic save games. Just looking at the scenarios it's really really good! One of the save games I would really like is the one with the headquarters which is next to a water body, so the like the non-track tiles of a train station is used to make a pathway, and canals are used to make an artificial river. If you could upload more, that would be great!
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Bwong (Bryan)

Mr. Bwong;

Thanks for writing, Sir. When I moved from Israel to Key West, Fl.,
I brought my 'tower' computer. Regretfully, It got damaged in flight,
and the hard disc was broken. So, I lost my all games and scenarios
along with some other data which made me sick. :(
Thank God for TT-Forums, at least all those scenarios which I previously
installed, are safe. Thank You, Mr. Rudge! I had a ton of games
and also partially created scenarios on that computer, and I really hate
losing it. But, I'll be doing scenarios again, as soon as I can figure where the
heck the TTD programs are, here. I used to know it. That Windows 7 is
sounding pretty good?

Well, I wish I could help you. Hey, maybe one of the other members have
the save game.

Why do you still use TTD? Why not OpenTTD?

Depends on which of the two Jim prefers.
Considering OpenTTD can import scenario's from TTD and TTDPatch its not really an issue, PeterT.*
The disadvantage with just OpenTTD is TTDPatch players cannot use them at all.

Mr. Powers
Thanks for the reply. That must be bad, losing all that data on your tower computer. Well thanks for the help anyways. I'll try to find the savegames somewhere in the forums. I'll find, somehow  . I have most of your scenarios, each providing a different challenge. (they are all really good!) Last question, do you have windows 7?

Mr. Powers
Bwong writing again. I downloaded some more of your scenarios, and when I tried to play a few, my game just crashes. Not sure if you can do much about it but, I'm writing again.... Well, here are some that don't work: Norden PLUS, Taming the Swiss, and extreme cities (wait... did you make that... I got that a long long time ago). But besides those, I really enjoy playing the Industrial Zone BU! Real fun fun fun!

Given that he has no posts in the TTDP section and quite a lot in the OpenTTD section I think it is safe to assume that he is using some version of OpenTTD. As I see quite a few non-TTD features are being used in the TTDP savegames it's likely that OpenTTD fails converting them, after all only TTD savegames are officially supported and the loading of TTDP savegames is "best effort" meaning that if unknown features are used it is likely to cause crashes.

I have TTDPatch, but I hardly ever post in the TTDPatch forum. But I do see your point.

A rather late reply, but good to hear from you, Jim! I'm glad your move has gone well, although sorry to hear about your computer getting damaged. I recently moved from the UK to Minnesota myself, and my computer also got damaged in transit - thankfully, the hard disks were Ok though! Anyway, hope to hear from you again soon, hope 2010 has been good for you so far. :)

Merry Christmas,

I busy year, but, I've never forgot my wonderful TTD Friends who helped me
love 'The Game'. Maybe I can get back to making scenarios this year. If I can
get my old programs, that assisted me before, up and running. I still have Vista
which hurts me making scenarios.

Anyway, Merry Christmas and God Bless You All!

I do hope you can get back to being a busy member of the forums. I quite miss your unique, non-realistic maps. There was nothing like creating a massive, circuit-diagram-like network in the middle of your trademark planned cities. I hope that there will be the possibility to do some further collaboration a la Amazing Alberta.

Do hope you're doing well. See if you can't get a subsidized or discounted upgrade to Windows 7, if your computer can handle the system requirements. It is glorious!

Mr. Louie Armstrong and Mr. Louie Armstrong;

You both have been inspirations to me. I long to get back to making scenarios again.
Over here in the States, life is a lot different than in Israel. Now, it looks like I will be
going back to Israel soon. My dear Israeli wife did not adjust to our American life-style,
and was not happy here. So, will probably be going back. Anyway, thanks for remembering me.
I sure haven't forgot you all. Have a blessed New Year.

Always,
Jim Powers (p.s. Louis, I'll never forget your unfailing help, Sir. God Bless.)
