Aracirion, I have thought about it, and you are probably right. I guess you could say that the church is still 25*25m, like the original, but now it takes up 2*2 tiles instead of the original 1*1 tiles.

These GFX are designed for 64, 128, and 256 pixel wide game modes (1x,2x, and 4x the current game zoom level)
hmmm yeah, in the original one square is 64px across. In my c-big (see above), one (12,5x12,5) square is 128px across. So the buildings that take up 2x2 (25x25m) are 256 across. If we take an original square to be 25x25m, then c-big is already at 4x zoom level.

hmm so I assumen all the trains were rendered at 8x zoom? Do we want an 8x zoom level? Maybe we should think about it

+ looks cool, gives you the feeling of being closer
- more work, as more details have to be added to models
? what about system requirements ?

I don't think anyone has mentioned anything about 8x zoom. 4x will be the maximum zoom level.

You shouldn't look too much at my trains, as I tend to render them without thinking about the scale, but I guess you are right about the zoom. I always just multiplied 4*64, I didn't think about the fact that the tile widths are now 12,5*12,5 meters.

max tile size will be 256x256, which will equal 12.5x12.5m

independant of any other scale arguments..... zoom is totally different.

could you please answer clearly? so you can zoom in once more from my c-big, and the buildings are too small and need to be redone at double resolution?

or to put it differently, is this the correct size for a 12,5m x 12,5m building?

How's this for a slice of fried gold. Here's a quick runway render, i'll add some more detail, and I need to create another couple of sets for the pavement.

I don't think runways have pavement, they are for planes and airport traffic only, not pedestrians.

Pay attention to the runway markings here:

If they can be imitated quite well, then the runways will look much more realistic.

Well it's supposed to be edging more than paving, but i'm trying it without, as for the lights, it depends on the type of airport, size of runway and type of traffic, I was thinking something more like this for the larger airports.

I can't find any photos of it, so It must have been one of those reference books ones.

Anyway, great work. The more original buildings that can be faithfully replaced, the game will stay true to its originality.
Maybe this has already been answered, but one of the buildings is the Nakagin Capsule Tower by Kurokawa Kisho.

DeathbyCake: Thats a awseum grass texture youve got there. Is that a plugin?

Burschik: That is a wierd building...slightly less so than the ttd verion, but crazy none the less

Bio: I think the airport on alltakens site was made when the squares where 25m across. I think that airports need completly redoing, unless theres renders that alltaken is yet to show. Even if it is done, thats just one airport anyway.

The grass is nice, but I think it is a bit tall considering the scale of the runway, it must be as tall as a man. Someone should really go over it with a lawnmower.

I wasn't on about the lights, but the paint markings on the runway. The lights are okay.

Runways do not have edging either. The tarmac sits slightly above ground level, with a stripe of paint.
