I like the Javelin myself, I love dark colours on fast moving vehicles.

Re: (Ugly) Post here your favourite or worst looking trains
I always thought black and red looked really smart. Shame we don't see it on British trains

You're coming home already? - The sign looks like "Narita Express".

GNER on anything FTW. But especially the fast moving vehicles. Shame the badger never got going in GNER livery.Dave Worley wrote:GNER on 373 ftw?Kevo00 wrote:GNER FTW.

Haha - yep, it's the NEX, but I'm here for a year. Plus I flew into KIX rather than NRTEXTspotter wrote:You're coming home already? - The sign looks like "Narita Express".

Was just saying I liked the colour scheme of the NEX

Haha yes...but I don't think they actually ran 89001 much? I remember SeaCo bought it though.Badger wrote:Splonk...
Anyway IMHO GNER were the best post privatisation TOC design wise - their livery actually looks like a railway livery!

Re: (Ugly) Post here your favourite or worst looking trains
Southern also looks like a proper rail livery too, as does... no - that's it.

Re: (Ugly) Post here your favourite or worst looking trains
Southern is decent, I give you that.
The rest are either too cool for school (new Virgin, 'Arriva' CrossCountry, Northern), boringly corporate without any thought to design (SWT, EMT, ATW, FGW, Nat Ex East Anglia), or even scarily political (SNP imposed Scotrail).

How about South Easterm? London Midland is another nice one... I always liked WAGN, too...

What, NSE?andel wrote:I always liked WAGN, too...

Re: (Ugly) Post here your favourite or worst looking trains
Hmmm LM is not too bad, I guess...South Eastern is just a white train with some yellow bits, surely? Admittedly there can be class in simplicity. WAGN is FCC now, surely? Wasn't aware there was ever a separate WAGN livery.andel wrote:How about South Easterm? London Midland is another nice one... I always liked WAGN, too...

Re: (Ugly) Post here your favourite or worst looking trains
London Midland is a damn good livery, and the final incarnation of Northern's is pretty good I reckon. The new Scotrail one is gash, however.

Chiltern, although nothing will ever beat GNER's on the 373, which is why I have the Hornby model of it +2 coaches
.

Re: (Ugly) Post here your favourite or worst looking trains
The only thing that I find annoying on mine is that the extra divisible coaches have red seats, and the original two divisible coaches have cream seats
.
