I posted it before but one thing that RRT2 is good at is the music (I must have stepped on PopTop's toes). Can we have some of that in TE?

You mean just take the actual music out use that? I think that breaks some copyright, it must.

No, of course not the same  (though I doubt if anyone cares). But just the genre.

Yea that music was good. The music in TTD is that kind of music you put in a demo to make people crazy(must listen, must play).

Here's a short (1-minute) clip of a song that could be used for TM/E. Rest of song still under development.

And we need to get the rights to have Kraftwerk's 'Autobahn' in the game, for obvious reasons.

Check out my site, The Tower, because I've uploaded quite a bit there now.

You may not realize that the original version of Autobahn is about 20 minutes long. (I have it, Mp3 format.) If you really want that, I suppose you could.

Otherwise, I'd recommend the version on Kraftwerk's The Mix album: it's only about 4-5 minutes, I'd estimate, and more technoey besides.

'30s: Jazz
'50s: rockabilly/early rock
mid '60s: psychedelic rock
'70s: disco
'80s: grunge, nuwave
2000 and beyond: trance(my specialty)

I think we need to finalise what type of music we're having when or whatever, so myself, Torkatta and MrBadAxe can get to work.

Hey, if I make MIDI files, since the quality is appalling, is there a program anyone has that'll turn the MIDI sounds into 'real' instruments?

Anyway, my suggestions...

1950-1960 - Rock 'n' roll, jazz
1960-1970 - Mostly progressive stuff (i.e. tracks that go on for bloody ages, but NOT in a repetitive way - think Kashmir)
1970-1980 - Early techno & electronica, bit of new-wave
1980-1990 - Rock, or should that be rawk? Do we have any guitar-heroes here?
1990-2000 - Indie (like Nirvana, Radiohead, Travis etc) and electronica
2000 onwards - Techno and rock still, getting gradually more experimental as time goes on.
