Seelenquell, it would be the best if you PM Alltaken about that, but I think you can show our models from any program you have been using. There are certainly export/import/convert applications

the master e: Cant give you any blender tips, but you have taken the key features of a boats hull and moddeled them in well. Just smooth that shape off (increase polygons) and it should be nice.

Aracirion: Stuff from here does go onto the wiki...usually-ish, ..doesnt it?

Crazy Vaclav: bwb_wip.png is awesum. No Idea about any comparitive exsisting (real) models, but i really like that model how it is. Could you post a untextured shot of the other one, cause its a little hard to make out all its elements i find.

Seelenquell: Hi, I dont (can't) use blender either, (as i try to make clear), but i think its ok to make models in anything, as long as they can be finally rendered in blender, so that no leiceses need to be bourght to use them in the game. I still post stuff into here, cause it seems a sturdy topic that aint soon to vanish into the abis, and its where all the cool kids hang...

If the train is up to an axceptable level? (the 125) any suggestions of what to try to do next? (priorites?)...i suck on disisions.

The model is not very special I'm afraid, as it is based on the x-43, which is a pretty simpel plane. I guess I could add some things myself, but I don't know what.

Speaking of boats, Sellu made a couple of great looking boats. I hope he is still around so we could use them.

Crazy_Vaclav: The x43 looks great, and those models of ships look great too. I wonder if its possible to change the graphics when refitting

Ben_Robbins_:The Collett Pannier tank would be a good choice. Used almost everywhere since their design date, they became the workhorse of GWR branchlines. They were used well into BR days too. This is the first available train in TTD currently.

Ben,

is there any harm giving the German ICE and French TGV trains a go, in preparation for the possibility of adding in a few extra trains?

Alternatively, it'd be good to get the monorail and maglev trains done!

The TGV is already done if you'd check the wiki. The late game electric "T.I.M" train is the TGV.

Ok, ill start on the Collett Pannier, but ive just found out im busy for a week...so false start really, ill try later. Refernce images are good though, looks like a similar modeeling job to the jinty one.

Jango: At some point it will be cool to do any trains, but the wiki list is the priorty.., them first, then others. Maybe ill try a maglev after the collet..hmm..

The ships are really good. I made some ships ages ago (before knowing of this 32bpp thing), but its nothing in comparison to them.

1st thing: wow! you guys are making beautiful stuff!
2nd thing: what about bridges? Haven't seen any yet and they're not on the wiki.
3rd thing: I'd like to help. I downloaded Blender yesterday and made some simple stuff with it. I'm used to Hammer editor for map-making in Half-Life, so it's a lot different from what I'm used to, but I'll manage.

In Hammer editor I love to make buildings, so that could come in handy over here. I found some pics of mines, so I'd like to make a mine (coal, ore, one of those two).
I made a simple sketch of a mine and it'll become 4x3 tiles. I have no experience in camera's in 3D and lights and stuff, so I could use some advice for that. Or is it possible that I send my model to someone else who does it for me?

Well I'll be getting to work now, I'll keep you guys posted.

Yeah I am still here, looking this thread now and then :) According to my memory the scale thing was not yet agreed in ships.

The ships indeed look awesome!

Here's my first attempt to an iron ore mine, critique is very welcome!

And I'd really like to know if someone has the lights for a big building like this one? The .blend in the wiki is for 1x1 buildings, mine is 4x3.

The right most feature is the elevator engine, it's not done yet and looks ugly.

I'll add the .blend file too for anyone who's interested.

Wow! These are great!

The mine is good, though it needs detail of course. I look forward to seeing updated versions as you go! :D

Great ships! I shake my fist at you in envy! :P

With the BWB aircraft, I think there should be multiple versions of them, as there will no doubt end up being Airbus versions as well as the Boeing ones, and probably russian or chinese aircraft, too. IIRC there are at least three potential BWB shapes, two of which have been shown in here. The other one is a bit more conventional, it could be a transition aircraft between the clunky old tube-n-wing aircraft and the true BWB ones. :D

but its looking good, keep up the nice work!
