the grf file on the previous page renames all the aircraft already...
Well, I hope 1.1 will be a basis for most of the future updates. I've planned to build ontop of it with v1.2 - v2, but I don't know about anyone else.

give me a day or two and 1.1 will be finished. I've just got to find somewhere to add in the Super Jumbo, and also the new DC-10 Mail plane graphics. I've finished changing the Comet and A340.
Well, it would be great if you could finish that cool futuristic aircraft on page 2 (Fs.jpg)If u got something in mind scottishasttdx tell me and maybe i could draw something

I've decided to add a poll before I release anything else. I feel it is up to everyone to decide how this set should be handled. Currently I've been releasing tiny amounts of data at a time, which I feel isn't entirely beneficial, not to mention confusing (for me and users).
Depending on the way the voting goes, I'll either release the updated graphics for v1.1 in one or two weeks, or release lots more graphics, data and names in two months time. Or, I'll wait till dinges releases his next batch.
Its up to you!
Also, I've got a little preview of 1.1
I'm only making small (probably un-noticable) changes, trying to make the aircraft more realistic. In this screenshot you can see two of the first changes, th engines of the Comet are now further inside the wings (not enough though, but I'll work on that later), and I've added player-coloured engines to the Airbus A340

I'd like to see smaller, more frequent releases, BUT it's not good for me if I have to play with TTDAlter and all, I just want a simple GRF file to put in new grfw.cfg.

yeah, thats what I mean. More frequent releases means you're going to have files flying here, there, and everywhere. If I release big chunks at a time, I can merge all the data into one, so you only need to keep updating a single file.
Oh, and if its okay with Dinges (because I know he has worked on it), I was going to fix concorde's engines as they were starting to annoy me.
Dinges?

Dinges?
sure, go ahead, but send the edited graphics to me, so I can throw them in again

I'm assuming that there will be just one, not two competing versions, from Dinges and scottishasttdx?

I hope for that too and I´ve already promised that dinges can use 7E7 and Super Jumbo in his own set. (if they are good enough)
And if u have new projects, I would be maybe able to help you for example making graphics. (But the sprite learning thing is way too much for me right now, cause i´ve got so much to do)

If you are looking for something to draw, there is plenty of opportunity in the new American Transition set, and the restarted East Asia set also, both of which are about half done at this point. You can take a look at the relevant threads under Graphics, and also at the link in my sig to see what is going on. We have suddenly found several new and very talented artists, but we would always welcome one more.
As far as conding the GRF file, that has always been a problem, and will continue to be until Owen's new tool is released. Even if all the art for East Asia and American Transition were completed, I doubt if we would be able to release anything because they both use all the most advanced and latest functions of the Patch, and nobody knows how to code it except Josef and MB - and even if they did, it's insanely hard. So we wait for the GRF tool.

Well, just make sure that the set includes all the newly drawn planes, and renames all the old ones, so one single GRF file takes care of both things. I'm having troubles getting the two separate files to work together. I suppose the GRF editor would make life easier, hopefully it will be out soon.
