Still doesn't mean we should electrify every inch of railway from Penzance to Thurso though. Not yet anyway. Also if rail usage increases as dramatically as most of the posters on this forum seem to believe it will then the cost of diesel per passenger will be vastly reduced...

Unfortunately it's declined as was expected because of the recession - London Underground reported a 32,000 fall for an average week day this month. :(

I didn't expect it to fall overall though - would be interesting to see how much it falls in the end. I'm also wondering which is more prone, business or leisure travel?
