Thankd for the answer if some of you will do that

I got a "One way roads can't have junctions" Surely in real life this is laughable.
How do you integrate them with other roads then?
I think that I may never see,
A billboard as lovely as a tree.
Perhaps, unless the billboards start to fall,
I may never see a tree at all.

your junctions cant be one way, don't know why, if you're intersecting 2 one way roads, just dont make the intersection bit one way and from all tests so far on my end it will function as intended as all roads around it are one way.

Frm what I remember when TTDP got them, TTD treats any road that isn't straight as a junction. So corners and one way roads are junctions. I'm not sure if that is the case with OpenTTD.

In OpenTTD, only straight road pieces can have one way arrows, that excludes bends and intersections; but you don't need one way arrows on every tile. On a long winding road only the very first and very last tile needs arrows and the entire road is one way. If you have intersections along that road, put arrows near the intersections, so that vehicles cannot enter the one way road against the flow of traffic.

Look at the arrows as 'Do-Not-Enter' signs at the pointy end and your one way road system functions.

Maybe it's only me, but One-Way Routing is not available in OTTD. And only in the nightlies.

Well, it is only you. ;) Although you are correct, it is available in the nightlies. Thats what a large number of people here use, so expect the nightly features to be shown widely on the forums. :)

IMHO the road is too small to easily distinguish between the arrows. So I thought I would make a 1 sided arrow to show that possibility. Compare the arrows in the accompanying mock-up. ie ___\ vs ---->

But I think it would be simpler to paint a strip across the road to indicated no entry.

I'm a programmer not an artist so please excuse the poor visuals.

Actually looking at the shot again. A single unbroken white line indicates the places to stop when reaching the intersection. Perhaps a broken white line could indicate no entry but not a stop sign.

Anyway, in au we use a red polymer (white lines) to indicate bus lanes/roads. Buses and taxis are the only ones allowed to use these roads. Like the southbound approach to the Harbour Bridge http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=e ... &z=19&om=1

They are often used to generated a big RORO bus statition. Like Eddy Avenue @ Central, Hay Market, Sydney. NSW AU, http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=e ... &z=19&om=1

Can some one with some graphic talent make me a grf of a red road; so I can try and code 'transitways'.
Another colour could be used for trucks roads.

And a yellow/pink brick cobbled road could be used for no-entry pedestrian malls. Which would be built by towns and receive passengers and goods. This is Pitt St Mall, Sydney; with Centerpoint tower and the bus lane on the one way Castlereigh St
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=e ... &z=19&om=1

The mall is not as visible in Newcastle because it's a darker brick. (Yes that is Newcastle Terminus and a Ferry Warf; the ferry is North on the other side of the river.)
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=e ... &z=18&om=1

The Queenslanders don't color their pavement like this station at the Gabba in Brisbane.

All your suggestions are very nice ... but one way graphics only have 1 single sprite for each direction, so it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to do what you suggest. At intersections and corners you cannot have any arrows (OpenTTD only, TTDPatch will allow you to place one way arrows at intersections, but not corners). At intersections they wouldn't look good anyway, because only 1 sprite would be available, the same as used on straight road tiles.

The road system, as a whole, only has 3 road types; i.e. city roads, urban roads and urban roads above snowline. An extended road system would be required for special roads, like yours.
