new update is in process, soon to be released:
- new half blocks of wood and cobblestone
- new save format, using less files, loading levels 7 times faster! also worlds will be named , not World1/2/... anymore
- new block, red color, will act like redstone (carry signal) but also work as repeater and a programmable delayer!
- security patches (assuming no more for pirating!), don't care, I own original

Because some texture packs come in higher resolutions only, like the one I use. TBH I like the higher resolution more than the low resolution of the default graphics while it still keeps the same feeling.

That would be most brilliant, my HTC Desire'll probably be good enough to play. Although a point of concern will be the controls, most games already have tricky controls and they're not even FPS style games.

might think about full-keyboard phone like Desire Z ... will see, at the moment I got Nexus One which I believe is more than enough to run apps for still long time

Controls would be like in Minecraft Viewer (someone made app to see MC maps but that's it) ...

Anyway today Beta 1.3 was released giving us:
- Beds (they work as spawnpoints, last bed you sleep in will be your spawnpoint also in single player will sleep overnight till morning)
- New redstone block working as repeater/delayer/redstone
- Scarecrow to lure enemies (already have ideas for great traps)
- Half-blocks of cobblestone/wood/sandstone
- New savegame format (faster loading speed, changing number of files from few thousands to .. few)
- Scrollbars in main menu, new graphics option section, Worlds can have names (and can be more of them)
