Av8 or WAS?

Av8 or WAS?
I just want to ask you, what aircraft set are you using (if any), and maybe why do you prefer one over another?
Re: Av8 or WAS?
The objectively best aircraft newgrf is av9.
Re: Av8 or WAS?
I use whatever fits best with my current game. There is no worse or best. That leaves me open to influence peddling from suppliers. Cookies are always in good taste, especially if they are yummy.

Re: Av8 or WAS?
I picked both in the poll but I actually meant to pick Av8. I use the Planeset too, but frankly there is no aviator set like Av8.

i'm not entirely sure how this is a "technical" topic, though.

Re: Av8 or WAS?
Not voting at this time because I don't have experience actually using them.I believe I have av8 active in my games and am not familiar with how WAS differs, though in keeping with my everything-plus-the-kitchen-sink NewGRF-vehicle philosophy I may as well get the other. However, when my AI competitors go into the aviation business the associated costs generally drag them into bankruptcy in short order. Is either of them significantly better economically,or is airport maintenance the killer regardless?

I took all the BAD FEATURES out of av8, and av9 is what was left.
Re: Av8 or WAS?
I can't say I've ever actually used (or seen for that matter) AV9. Is there a thread somewhere on here that I need to find?PikkaBird wrote:I am.Eddi wrote:because you're so objective on that topic?PikkaBird wrote:The objectively best aircraft newgrf is av9.

Re: Av8 or WAS?
But those bad features are what made Av8 so special.PikkaBird wrote:I took all the BAD FEATURES out of av8, and av9 is what was left.
Re: Av8 or WAS?
that's how you know a feature is BAD. some people swear on it being good.Kalen wrote:But those bad features are what made Av8 so special.PikkaBird wrote:I took all the BAD FEATURES out of av8, and av9 is what was left.

Re: Av8 or WAS?
I don't play much with planes so frankly I don't care too much. But Zeppelins are essential.
So the perfect GRF is the one everyone hates. Hum. I wonder which one that is ...Eddi wrote:that's how you know a feature is BAD. some people swear on it being good.
