This corresponds to his absence from German TTD-Forums. And it's a fact I don't like. He didn't only leave TTD, he also left everything else.

From what non-TTD "everything else" did MB disappear? Can it be explained by lack of reliable internet connectivity? He never really struck me as the type that was particularly dependent on his internet connection, and it might well be that going to the local library or internet cafe serves as enough access for him. Such places are not conducive to uploading large GRF files or spending hours on forums. And, assuming he doesn't have any updates to make, there's no particular reason to re-instate his website.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

But on the other hand, some people new to TTD could want to download his graphics, which are now not available for download.

Ammler wrote:Most other GRFs from him are downloadable from ttdpatch.net but the ECS Support GRF is nowhere else. So I add it here until Michaels page is online again.

Edit:
- added Rivers (but I only have the Windows version, if someone else has both or at least the dos, he could post his pack here and I will remove mine.)
- Link to his autoreplace GRF: http://www.tt-ms.de/forum/showthread.ph ... 9#pid26589 Image
My post could be found here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=681507#p681507

Is there still a NewGRF from him missing?

If you checked the link I gave, it is a financial stock market discussion website, so rather non-TTD in my book. The other poster refers to the fact that he dropped off the German TTD forums at the same time.

It isnt just the website - his email account has gone and not been restored, and that has been active for years. That is the most unlikely feature of all.

This looks a bit more than a normal "not checking", however, one of the Michael Blunck references I found was for a participant in a multi-month adventure hike somewhere remote a few years ago. It could be he is taking time out in some remote place.

Michael might be afraid to return to a community with members that research such intimate facts about his personal life.

Oh. I assumed that link was just a last-update-of-ttdpatch.de listing. I should know better.

:P Nothing more than putting "michael blunck" ewetel into google. Thats pretty public research to me. No offense meant - just finding when his public presence was last made elsewhere.

Frightening as it might sound... he probably has a life outside of TTD and the like, and it's probably in the way of him maintaining website and the like.

Is this the end of the world we know?

/sarcasm

People, stop worrying so much, he is a human too, like we are and he has a life, a personal one. Who knows what he might be doing in the Germany but the best think to do is wait and hope hes return.

And sometimes people just dissapear for no reason. Even when i was doing revision *cough*not*cough* for my GCSEs i still could make time to visit the forums. If he has no internet i can understand. But, then you get in to the "what if?"'s.

Anyway, people are concerned for good reason. Let them be.

Like i said that people have a life too. And that life is more important then a game.

Else, you are crazy (in the views of a doctor).

Sorry but since I'm a selfish b****** I'm more worried about the release of DB Set 0.9 than where he's "gone".

I wasn't talking to you.

Anyway, does New Ships by MB support ECS Vectors? Or we must wait for an update?

The newships date from 2003, far before George even started with ECS. SO the most likely conclusion has to be no, it doesn't support ECS. You could've found out for yourself if you read the readme that comes with the grf. The date is printed in bold right at the top of the readme.

Despite it’s age, newships works just fine with ECS vectors. :)

I can't remember if Michael has realised his ECS adapter for ships into public, but at least I have one. Here it is

P.S. I'm starting to worry about Michael. Is there anybody on the forums (on German forums) who knows him personally and can say, is he Ok?
