The joys of Carnage in OTTD

Post by Moriarty »

Now we all love building things, because otherwise we wouldn't be playing OTTD. But I'm sure you've all had the urge occasionally to do crash a few trains, and obliterate some road vehicles.

So here's a thread where you can sate said urges and post the resultant dead pixels too (i.e. screenies) .

Anyway, I'll start with a couple of "incidents" that were in no way instigated by me. Honest!

1) A train crash. But no ordinary Train crash. This one happened to take the lives of 8080 people!!! Two very long trains (Headed by Morely-manleys) of 101 cars apiece. I'll be impressed if anyone can get higher with a stock build of OTTD. ;)

2) This one looks very nice when it happens. A series of 98 buses that somehow got stuck on the tracks in front a train that happened to be called the "Butcher". How did that happen?

Image

I've attached a save of this one (it's a small 64*64 map so only 14k (smaller than the screeny :? ).

I'm sure some of you folks can do better.

Which of course explains why you're posting to a game's forum. 8)

Look, I'm a respectable IT technician who's supposed to set an example. Somebody could easily mistake this forum for one of the many work-related ones that I also visit through the day.

It's hard to hide the choo-choos though. My boss recognises OpenTTD from clear across the room (although he's more of a Trainz man).

You're allowed to play OpenTTD at work? Wow, nice boss you got over there! :D

Allowed... no. That's why I need screenies!

That said, I have often played OpenTTD late in the evening, when the clock is no longer running.
