I can't get it, half a year ago I stopped playing openttd because all the industries are shutting down all over the map. Now I tried it again with newer version of openttd and it is exactly the same. After 10 years in game all the industries are shutting down, a inudstry is shutting down one per second after 10 years, it is so fast that I cannot close the newspaper window.
I turned all options in the game to economy stady and so on... why does it yet behave like this ?
Automatic industry shut down, it sucks a lot.

Re: Automatic industry shut down, it sucks a lot.
It's by design. Industries which are not serviced by any player will eventually shut down by default. This is so that they can make place for industries of the type (and location) the player possibly chooses to support. Also: never all industries will close down and always new industries will spawn. So there's no reason to mourn unserviced industries closing down. They do that. In real life. It's even realistic
You're free to change this behaviour by means of using NewGRFs which change the default behaviour. There are plenty of threads on this, so a simple use of the search function of this forum would have given your plenty of information.
If on the other hand you (already) play with an industry newgrf: complain to the newgrf's author, but read the newgrf's readme before so that you know the parameters which disable industries closing down.

With 'always' you mean that in the entire game I will never run out of industries so that no empty spaces are existing ?
Re: Automatic industry shut down, it sucks a lot.
turn on the option to build ones for yourselves? if you choose "prospecting" they will turn up in a random spot

So what is exactly the problem?hendrik2k1 wrote:I can't get it, half a year ago I stopped playing openttd because all the industries are shutting down all over the map. I don't see a problem with closure of industries that you don't serve.
New ones will be build.
As for newspaper, you can configure what news is shown, so why not disable news about industries you don't serve?
Last but not least, to get that many closures, you must play a large map with dense industries. Large maps are mostly for multi-player. For single player 512x512 is already enough.
Dense industry is only useful for small maps.
So, instead of shouting "it sucks", please sit down calmly, and try to describe as precisely as possible what exactly the problem is (and why that is a problem).
Also, as already mentioned by planetmaker, if you search a bit at the forum and the wiki, you will find discussions and directions for a solution.
