REQUEST: Tracks for ISR, CHIPS and blending rails in cities

Post by Quast65 »

Hi all!

For a while it has been very annoying to me that you can't blend in roll-on roll-off stations into ISR or CHIPS based industrial areas. The railtracks always have grass on the sides. Also in city environments it doesn't always look good to have grass on the sides of the tracks, sometimes plain concrete would look a lot better.

I would like to know if there might be people out here that are interested in developing new tracksets that have ISR, CHIPS or concrete bases in stead of the grass. So you can better blend in tracks into industrial area's or even make more realistic looking railyards?

The Japan Set 3: Tracks will have Urban Rails that will blend in with the urban environment. It's in development though ;)

Thats good to hear that multiple people are working on this!

Is it however possible to have multiple track-grf's in one game? So for example Supermops trackset (for yards/industrial), Japan set (for urban environment) and Dutch trackset (for the "normal' lines)?

Yes, as long as there's enough railtype slots. You can have 16 railtypes in total. It doesn't matter if they come from just one grf or multiple. You can combine any way you want for as long as you stay within this limit.

The Japan Set will occupy all 16 slots, so no chance of interaction with another set.

Even if some of those are restricted via parameters?
