[OpenTTD] Military items

Do you like to play with planes and use some of them as eye candy? Personally, I use some aircraft (newgrf) as air traffic control, what happens in the air, on the ground, etc. And sometimes for the transport of selected materials between airports - military bases.

To expand the possibilities of this type of playing, I have created several aircraft, the list of which I plan to expand in the future. For drawing I used PixelTool for 8bpp graphics. The planes are drawn at a scale of about 1.67px per meter for fighters, 0.86px/m-1,3px/m for airlift airplanes.

GRF is available here https://github.com/adpro/openttd-milita ... tag/v0.6.0 and on BaNaNaS.
More info about parameters and list of airplanes are in README file on github.

Thanks for your feedback. I did not know about the topic for the following months. If the grf is good enough, maybe so. But so far I have 4 days of learning NML and working with PixelTool, so I'm a complete beginner. I need add loading animations for big transport aircrafts, edit sprites for better light..

Yes, helicopters would be nice. If I can make an attempt thanks to the available codes from other sets and the NML tutorial, there may be a helicopter. Any recommendations or wishes?

Thanks for your feedback. There will be no civil aircraft in this set. But I'm currently working on release 0.2.0, where I have a Lockheed C-5 Galaxy and a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III ready. And I'm working on other military transport aircraft.

I've got a whole spreadsheet of heavy lift military helicopters you can draw inspiration from:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

A quick rundown of ideas - Mil MI-10, Mil MI-26, Boeing CH-47A/C/D/F Chinook, Sikorsky CH-53A/D/E/K Stallion, Bell HU-1B/1H Iroquis, Bell HU-1N/1-Y Twin Huey/Super Huey

Sorry about that, looks like Google put it on lockdown, but should be fixed now.

Kamnet, 0.4.0 helicopter is only helicopter teaser. There is HU-1 Huey, because I needed to test how helicopter works in nml with custom rotors. I chose some helicopters to future releases from your google spreadsheet.
I don’t test rotor with six/seven blades how it looks yet. I need it for Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion

Thank you for your suggestion.

For the 0.5.0 release, the MiG-15, MiG-19, MiG-29, Su-30, Polikarpov I-15, Polikarpov I-16 and Yak-9 aircraft were originally planned. But maybe in the next release will be Czechoslovak aircraft such as Letov Ε -328, Aero A.11, Avia BH21, Avia B.534, Avia B.35 / B.135, Aero L-39, Aero L-159 and others.

The next release is not yet finally planned.

Anyway, in the next 3 versions I would like to make releases:
- "Red wings" - Soviet / Russian airplanes mentioned above
- "Sweet Home" - Czechoslovak airplanes mentioned above
- "Rotary Wings" - American, British, French, Russian/Soviet Helicopters, mainly biggest ones :D

But plans are plans and reality is reality  I will think about it.

Are you planning for any mobile ground armored vehicles , tanks , missile units , air defenses and naval vessels or just planes ?

It is difficult. OpenTTD is peaceful game so I tried to create content without obvious war objects. Fighter planes are still just planes, sometimes they can carry some cargo.

For objects such as tanks, battleships, etc. The war theme is already obvious and I would like to avoid this depiction. Now it's the turn of the aircraft and then I'll try another type of vehicle - maybe ships (commercial aircraft carriers, transport, Liberty, ..), submarines to transport cargo, .. I do not know, I'll see.
