Exchange base industry graphic with graphic from other set

After a Long time I am back to see all the changes that really have been going on and need to express my thanks to all the artists, coders and developers that have made such a big Impact on openttd. One question that always came up to my mind was that i alwasy asked myself if it was possible to Exchange the base graphics with existing graphics of other sets.

E.g. If I just want to Play with the Standard industries but i want to have another design , is it possible to use a graphic from another set? Or how would it be possible?
To be more precisely: In the base industries there is a coal mine

(Credits to Zimmlock) set without using the ECS set. How could I do this. For the coal mine there is a GRF from the czech site that exchanges the graphic

Is it possible to choose the ECS graphic for the used coal mine layout? What could there be done to do so? What would be the rigth way. I am asking that because I think that there are so many nice graphics from Zimmlock that fit perfectly to Michel Blunck's gaphics and sets or the Total Town Replacement that I would like to integrate only the suitable ones without having the full package of an ECS vector. Is it possible? Can anybody help?

P.S.: By the way... I am so curious about if Michael really will come around with his own industry set as already mentioned in his graphic's Topic...can't get those teaser pics out of my head... (Thank god it is X-Mas soon )

Wath's needed is a NewGRF. Given that it doesn't exist yet, you most likely need to make it yourself. If the default industry layouts are fine, it can be a simple graphics replacement. If you need different layouts, it will be more complicated. Bear in mind that you need permission if you want to reuse other's graphics in order to publish it.
